Police aren't supposed to be secret. There is a reason that "secret police" is actually a term that is used to describe authoritarian police forces. In the US, not only are you supposed to share your face, you are supposed to provide identification as a police officer that is individualized so that you can be identified. That is why they are supposed to have individual badges at all times. As a reminder, the same people backing masked police officers are banning members of the public for wearing masks, when members of the public have more right to hide their identity than law enforcement.

Under our archaic system, it is the states that collect all employment taxes, including employee income tax, FICA, etc....and then the states transfer that money to the federal government. A legacy system dating back to the days of horse and buggy I believe. It would be interesting if a state ever decided to "cut off" the digital transfer of tax revenues? Guessing that would be construed as open rebellion?

Offfocer from covering their face as long as they able to identify themselves and the agency they work for

I would love to see an accounting of ICE agents. 4 months ago we had a desperate shortage and needed thousands to man the border and our internment camps. Now, they are swarming immigrant neighborhoods in every state, every city. At the same time we are shuffling people all over the country and abducting people off the streets. Where did they all come from?

No, I do not agree that they should have masks on. They are likely private contractors and not ICE agents with no more authority than I do in many cases.

Meanwhile, for the 8-10 actual international gang members they have grabbed, let the ICE agents register with local police who can confirm their identity, as well as aid in obtaining their target. The United States does not need a Secret Police force.

What law? Unless a federal crime is committed the FBI has no jurisdiction. The army can not deployed against its own citizens. Not sure about the national guard, but they are usually deployed for emergencies per the states requests.

 

I'm saying that first; she (and the Trump Administration) are massive hypocrites by pretending to care about "federal LE being attacked" given that they pardoned thousands of people who literally attacked federal law enforcement, and many many others, in a riot that the then-President himself incited.

Clearly, that is something they are willing to tolerate if it furthers their criminal aims.

They aren’t secret police. It is an established force. As for registering with local LE pretty sure local LE refuses to work with or cooperate with ICE ( under orders from leading politicians) in many of these states.

I'm confused by your response. This is about the National Guard being called up yet you mention the FBI and Army and then say you're not sure about the national guard. Doing a simple google search: the president can deploy the National Guard without the governor's consent under certain circumstances, primarily when federal authority is threatened or the state government is unable or unwilling to maintain order.This is enabled by specific provisions within the U.S. Code and the Insurrection Act
