Depends. How many state lines did you cross while doing it? But you don’t have to answer without your lawyer present. Seriously, though, I recommend you watch the video and assess for yourself whether it passes the sniff test. But don’t watch it as if you were the guy’s lawyer. Be independent.
That is a good question that I doubt many on here will try to answer. The real answer, which is very inconvenient for them, is that DeSantis, despite his claims, knew that he was transporting people with legal residency in the country, as they were asylum seekers. Anti-immigration Republicans though won't want to admit that because that means that DeSantis and his supporters were lying when they talked about illegals (as the people he transported weren't illegals). Of course, the fact that DeSantis and his agents lied to the migrants as to their destination is also a major difference here, which setting aside the immigration aspect, does open DeSantis and his people up to other liability. That said, I suspect that will be a challenge from a prosection standpoint on this case: prove that the people in the car were illegally in the country and that they hadn't applied for asylum and he knew that when transporting them.
‘He’s going to wish he had been deported’: Alan Dershowitz explains why Abrego Garcia chose poorly - The Daily Bo Snerdley
Watch the video of St Kilmar the Maryland father being stopped in Tennessee. I couldn't understand exactly where he said he was going but it sounded like St Louis to Maryland or was it Maryland to St Louis? Some say then on to Texas but I couldn't understand half of what he was saying. Anyway there were 8 people in the vehicle, no luggage and no tools and we are to believe they were workers going to work on a construction job for 2 weeks? Then from what I understand the Tennessee police contacted Bidens FBI.....This was 2022 right in the middle of Bidens sanctuary city save the illegals BS. The FBI said to release them. What am I missing? Does this sound like just 8 immigrants going to work? Sounds to me that after they lock up Garcia they need to start locking up some FBI. On second thought they were just doing their job and following boss man Biden's orders.
Don't deport those who are here legally too, like Abrego Garcia. He had protective status allowing him to legally stay.
Here's the indictment: United States of America v Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia Also, the United States' Motion For Detention If anyone can't read them, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do to help.
No thanks, I don't need to read that indictment, I already know Garcia is not the sweetheart guy some posters would just love to have living in their neighborhood. I'll let those who are just dying to have him loose running the streets read what he is really like.
I'll go out on a limb here and say in my opinion, assuming Garcia is convicted of the things he is charged with he is not the only family member who should wind up in prison. To me his wife Jennifer Vasquez Sura should be arrested for being involved. No way she did not know exactly what was going on. She lied for him. The children need to be sent to a foster home where they would be much better off than living with either of these pieces of crap.
At least he'll get the opportunity to defend himself in an actual court of law instead of being found guilty by the court of public opinion. If he's found guilty, so be it. If he's acquitted of all charges, will you accept AG as an innocent person?
most of these illegals were given a notice to appear and did not show- as far as a hearing - it does not have to be in an actual court- they could have an immigration judge in a room somewhere who says yay or nay
I doubt seriously he will be acquitted. If anything gets him off it will be for some liberal judge to come out of the woodwork after he is convicted and claim something is unconstitutional and he has to be let go because he is just a Maryland Father.
But 34 count felon was railroaded, his wife lied about him attacking her, and everyone's out to get him.
He wasn't here illegally. He claimed asylum at a port of entry and was arrested going to his check in court appointment. A whole year after he legally claimed asylum. Adding: He was also not a criminal nor a gang member.
