Two of ours did at DT last year. Unfortunately, one of those players transferred.

I'll reserve judgement until we hear from the admin on this. This is a serious charge however as these things go, it may not turn out to be all that is being said now. Some of us were ready to shitcan Golden when he had accusations.

No need to try the case based on an article in the media. Let it play out in the judicial system. Most time what you read in the papers or online turns out to be inaccurate. And nowadays, the birth of AI means that fake news has gotten faker! Read an article where Clint Eastwood supposedly told an Australian media that Hollywood was putting out crap. Today, Clint said he never spoke with anyone at that media source. The story was FABRICATED!!!

I would believe it more if it wasn't civil. She's not trying to put his ass in prison, she wants money. That makes me skeptical

I don't think "lacerations and wounds on the face" were involved in the Golden accusations.

I'm not a lawyer but i don't think a juvenile can be charged with a felony in a civil court. If the article got that fact wrong, who know's what else is not correct. I will wait for an official statement by the admin.

The article was quoting the police report. We know, of course, that police will lie about things, but it's usually to CYA for some misconduct, not to frame a suspect in this kind of case.

Police dont always know the law. Kinda funny. Coastguard tried to give us a ticket on a commercial boat years ago. 4000# on the deck at that point. Cappy cussed his ass well and told him to gtfo his boat and dude skedaddled with his tail between his legs.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I think the title of this thread will eventually be changed from "Incoming Florida Football Freshman Arrested" to "Outgoing Florida Football Freshman Arrested."

That was me and I didn’t Skedaddle!!!!

JK it wasn’t me. You’re not wrong about cops knowing the laws. Not fully knowing them at least.

I was NEVER ready to get rid of Golden at any point in time... But I can see plausibility in the first part of what you posted.

I said "some of us" not "all of us". My point was that there are posters who automatically assume an outcome one way or another as soon as there is a report of an arrest. This particular situation i'm not judging one way or another until we hear something further. I'm confident the admin and CBN will act appropriately when the time is right in this situation. That doesn't mean we will agree with what course of action they take.
