It could be simpler than Lorenz, Bush or anybody else from the outside. Francesca Enea is already on staff. She's one of the best Gator hitters ever. Let her take over the responsibility. However, it does seem that Tim Walton's relationship with Aric Thomas is so tight that nothing is going to change.
I don't see here where Mia said shes staying in Gainesville, though. Pretty vague. The thought I've had over all this because of the NIL rumor as well and confirmation that her mom has always been an issue is that Mia doesnt want to leave but maybe her mom wanted her to chase NIL and is frustrated and posted all of that hoping it would leave to her leaving. Hopefully not because that would be awful but not surprising from what I've heard. But hoping for the best with her. Some time off can always do people good too.
An even bigger pipedream. The woman just had a miracle baby after years and years of trying. And all of her family is in California.
Yea but to be a star alongside another star on the opposite side of the ball is what im thinking the draw is.
Talking about staff, wasn't Kelsey Bruder one of the top names going around when the 4th assistant spot opened? I wouldn't mind having her on staff tbh.
Bruder has a very successful business in North Carolina and doubt she would sell it to come to Gainesville.
What’s the real beef with CAT? Personality? Seems to me his job is to teach and carry out CTW’s plans in a closely monitored environment and especially hard to screw up in game with your boss controlling the batter from third base coaching box.
While I'm not particularly in favor of paying a million dollars to win a championship, I think I'm going to have to pull for Tech in this one. Because of Glasco. I've learned a lot about him in the past week that I didn't know. Forget coaching. Apparently, for everyone that has come into contact with him; friend, opponent, and all others they all seem to agree that he is one of the finest human beings they have ever met. Our Amanda being one of many. And his outright love for Sam Landry had to bring a few sniffles. Apparently their relationship is more like father/daughter than coach/player. When he got Canady, he told Sam that she had to leave his program and find a place where she would be the ace of the staff because she deserved that and nothing less.
Prior to this season Gators were picked to finish 1 or 2 in the SEC and finished tied for 6th. With the return of Kavan & Pickens and an Oklahoma team that is absolutely loaded Gators will not be considered as an SEC title contender. I think that is a good thing for it takes some pressure off these ladies. Go Gators
He's just someone to blame. Remember these comments are coming from the same folks who critique individual pitches and act like they know what pitches they would swing at knowing full well they'd likely urinate on themselves if they were ever standing in the box.
Interesting, didn't realize Landry had been a Cajun before Okla. The big hug makes a lot more sense now. Thanks.
As I understand it, the still to be formally approved NCAA settlement and new 25 player roster limit rule allows a maximum of 25 full or equilent scholarships. Is this correct? If is is what affect does the delay have on getting players from the portal? Also, do you think, the administration will try to “budget” or otherwise interfere in the scholarship administration. This is big bucks as they value the scholarships at $70+k. As a side note: I read the tv ratings for WCWS has been unbelievable. I’m still can’t understand why our and other “money losing programs” don’t get an direct allocation from funds received from royalties and rights.
I finally have a bunch of converts on the new hitting coach need. 6 years ago after watching him, observing practices, watching our hitting strategies and lack of preparation and situational hitting, I knew he would be at best, mediocre. Amanda's husband is a Baseball asst at Clemson and probably makes a lot more than Amanda would here as a hitting coach. Megan is in So Cal with her husband and they are doing quite well (I do business with her dad). There are some excellent Non Power 4 conference hitting teams that have coaches that know SB hitting in lieu of a baseball coach who was mediocre at his prior place of employment. Most of them would kill to have the opportunity to coach at UF and pad their resume to become a head coach afetr 7 years in the same position. I still say, if no one wants Aric after 7 years here as there HC at a lower level program, that ells you all you need to know.
Oh paidinfull and willum, I played and have coached so I have stood in many boxes with pitchers and hitters facing me. I can tell a good coach from a mediocre coach very early in what I observe. Other than Patty's son who is the best hitting coach in the USA, name another assistant coach at a power 4 school that has been on a staff for 7 years that has not been hired, moved on or made it known they are happy as an assistant only which is why they stayed. My guess is very few fit this bill. Very good coaches get hired away or want to move up to running their own program (see Kenny G). By the way, I do not critique individual pitches or our pitchers. My jury is still out on Stephanie. I was a very verbal critic of Mike B as were many parents of the pitchers who worked under him (they said nothing until their daughters last game or had graduated).
lol...apparently you are hearing from "that" guy....I, fortunately, never, ever, hear from him again. The block option is your friend. I'm going back in history but when I expressed concern about a kid getting out of a NLI and coming to UF I was constantly told by this guy I was an idiot and "it happens all of the time and is always done". I now know the truth and I was absolutely correct in every last word I said at the time. I am not at liberty to say more. Every village needs one and we have one. I really, really, wish I could say more....I would blow this clown a new one.
