    They've all been talking crazy lately. Saw where his BFF the pillow guy said that voting machines in 2020 were controlled by Satan...

    Ya'll are hysterical. More than a "few random whackos" who voted right along side you to vote for the orange dictator. Oh, and COVID was a pandemic.

    ‘I hope it’s true’: Trump responds to claim he was chosen by God

    There are many who find great comfort in this picture. You don't and that's your right but I would urgently suggest considering why.

    This is called laying on of hands and it carries specific meaning according to the Bible and many Christian's beliefs. It does not have anything at all to do with "worshipping" the person.

    Nadab and Abihu were struck dead by God for offering “strange fire”. You want me to believe that a God that is so particular in his offerings is suddenly anointing the worst person in the world to do his bidding? Blow chunks man. That picture is an idol worshiping Trump using Jesus as an excuse. You can’t honor God and defend, support, or even tolerate Trump.

    Why wouldn't Trump be embraced and glorified by the religious? He's obviously the embodiment of the godly. I think that his words and actions speak for themselves, guiding the faithful to their most worthy messiah.

    I completely disagree with your assessments but, since I don't want to make you angrier, I also won't argue as neither will change our minds. For others I'll point out it has been a long time since I've heard about Nadab and Abihu from the Old Testament. They were Aaron's sons and appointed as priests. They had sacred responsibilities and very special rules to follow and they didn't. They profaned God's worship in His holy place and were struck dead. I will not challenge how God chose to reveal Himself or be worshipped or any of His decisions. I will point out Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament and gave everyone a new covenant . . . a new way. I've written about it before and my post should be easy enough to find.

    Meh. You can’t make me angry - it’s a message board on the internet.

    I am floored that you’d believe God is using this dirtbag.

    God: “Blessed are my children cheering at deporting immigrants, celebrating ending medical support for foreigners, and praising the arrival of White South Africans but not brown South Americans! In my name praise.

    Well, that's OK. I'm floored that you believe you know more than God. Besides, God has been using imperfect people throughout all of history.

    So free will doesnt exist? Perhaps God was using Hitler to eliminate his religious competition, for example? How are we to know which imperfect people he's using and which are just doing evil?

    I wasn't speaking about free will. Of course free will exists. As to the rest, a few verses:

    8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. ~ Isiah 55:8-9

    * * *

    11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:11-16

    So there is free will, but also God uses people to execute his designs? That doesnt seem consistent, and of course, it would be impossible to know who was using their own agency, and who was an agent of God.

    Consider Judas Iscariot. He had the free will to chose but his betrayal led to the greatest gift imaginable and fulfillment of God's will. I don't believe we have to know . . . just trust. The Scriptures I cited for you tell us we are unable to comprehend.

    So, its possible for a person to prevent God's will through their own agency, even potentially the salvation of man & resurrection? Wouldn't that mean we have power over God ultimately? I'd have to agree, since we are God's creators. We can use him for our own designs like saying anything Trump does is part of God's will.
