Itll go down quick if he isnt legit but the defense saved the season last year and they'll have to be even better this year.

9+ or bust. Sorry, I’m tired of waiting. I’m all aboard, have been since day one. But it’s time for results. We have all the parts, no excuses.

At this time last year, we all would have accepted 8-5 with a bowl win. Isn’t that “results”? I’m all for expecting better this year, but I don’t get the tone of all these posts insinuating we haven’t seen any “results” yet. We’re all impatient to varying degrees, but it’s not fair to act like we’re coming off of another losing season.
I still cringe at the booing of Stricklin during the basketball championship celebration at the O&B game. What a bunch of assholes

There will be reality and the many reasons we arent quite ready to be national champions. I dont see it just yet.

Ideally UF makes the playoffs. No question Napier is retained if that happens.

But your point is well taken Wanne.

If UF has a winning season but does not win enough to get a playoff berth, Napier may get a pass based on the schedule, the competitiveness of the team and the injury situation.

The pundits don't like UF as a playoff contender. UF did not make Greg McIlroy's list of "8" he thinks could make it that came out this morning.

A playoff berth is a stretch, winning a Natty is doubtful at best.

The schedule makers must want to see Napier get fired. Arguably one of the top 5 toughest in all of College football.

Naysayers have a reasonable argument when it is suggested the Gators could "fall back" in win totals this campaign. Injury, depth and of course
coaching decisions, penalties and special teams play will be highly scrutinized.

All us fans may do is await the results. Until cleat meets leather I prefer to be optimistic and hope for the best.

Im holding hope for 10 wins and a playoff spot and Napier will have done a great job to get this team there.

I think even with the schedule and unforeseen circumstances, 8 wins including a bowl has to be the minimum. If 5 regular season losses, we are in some doo doo, not just on-field but in recruiting as well. 4 SEC losses plus an OOC loss, or 5 SEC losses? That seems horrendous.

I can't disagree. Another 7-5 regular season will probably effect the early signing day class. 7-5 and a not so hot class will put tremendous pressure on Scott, Napier and the new UF president. I'm patient and a big Napier guy but patience does have it's limits.

Why a big Napier guy? Nice guy, good family man- go home play with your kids and hug your wife.

It's great that our team seems to be made of well behaved and excellent students. That matters. If we did hire a new guy and players began to commit acts that embarrassed the University and some even became academic hazards that would be unwelcome for sure, even with an improved record. One thing about recruiting in all fields is, you can replace a person who was good at a few things, while being below average at others, only to find the replacement is good at what was lacking but is sub standard at aspects the former was very good.

There are just so many red flags with Napier. Who goes three seasons in the SEC and is seems surprised to find with difficult and competitive practices improves the team? I admit, I cannot stand to watch Napier so without emotion on the sideline, mumbling into his headset, or smiling when the team is out of sync and looks untrained. It's just odd. I do hope he wins 10 because the bigger picture is the players and what they deserve from the staff. I may not like his style, but if he wins, everyone wins.

I cann see five games that could be bery difficult to win and good chance we are dogs in that many. Expecting multiple upsets is possibly unrealistic.

9-3 …I think is reasonable. That road schedule is brutal. But …if we are in a few dog fights, in a competitive conference, and one slips by us and we’re 8-4, I can live with that. We just have to look like we can compete with anybody. Going into a game feeling like we don’t stand much of a chance can’t happen this year.

7-5 would be a bummer no doubt. Id be pretty happy with 9-3. How many games will we we the less talented team and need to swing above our weight is the better question.
5 probable wins, 2 probable losses and 5 tossups. Hmmm, reality says 7-8 wins and we should be very happy if we get to 9.miami, A&M, ol piss, lsu, and Tennessee, , those five games are the ones that will define our season. 3-2 gets us to 8 wins.

My hopes but maybe not my expectations. Ill revise my head after the Miami game. We will ned to be 4-1 against the five questionable games to me.
