a brief order with no explanation.. is it okay with you for judges to issue rulings with no explanation? seems troubling bottom line, a lot of people just lost legal status what happens when they are subjected to crime? what happens when they fear being arrested? does it give a tingle thinking someone else's life has jsut been upended and their safety and very lives put in jeopardy? silly question, sure it does this might temper your tingle, each and every one of them can apply as individuals for immunity due to the conditions in their home country, conditions the orange oger himself deem dangerous and terrible..
I changed the thread title to match the title to the article . . . which is what I usually do. I wonder why some shrieked about this thread title, off a single word, while ignoring others off much more. Hmmmmm.
Hmmm, perhaps it was because that one word makes a lot of difference? Perhaps it was because it is from a mod who you would hope would be held to a higher standard, not a lower one? Perhaps because even though it is an approved "source" the linked article is from a heavily right-wing biased source? And just cause you asked so nicely, I'll point out it was two words. One he added (illegal), and one he left out "parole". You know, if we want to be accurate.
I understand. My point being that I get the same outcry from many of the same posters when I added two words to the title of a more liberal poster's thread. However, there has been an overall significant improvement in the thread titles by most posters, without the need to do anything at all with them, so the effort has been worth it.
That is because you added those words to match your commentary, not an article or because that thread title was incorrect. You chose to change the thread title to your desired explanation of an issue (that was less accurate as the judges had been appointed by Presidents of both parties), despite the previous title being less partisan than the one you chose. The fact that you can't admit that mistake is itself problematic and suggests a lack of ability to be even-handed, despite your claims. If this was done in an even-handed fashion, I wouldn't be able to do this so often.
I'm disappointed President Trump didn't force each of these countries to provide a dedicated private jet (as a personal gift to him) to return all their violent felons back to them.
While I cannot speak for you Liz Cheney fails the ultimate MAGA litmus test of what they call conservatism i.e. absolute loyalty to Donald Trump which explains the "Disagree Bacon!" rating of your post. Cheney had a conservative rating of over 90% when she was a member of the House. She was a diehard conservative on virtually every issue (small government, anti-regulation, pro-life, low taxes, virtually no restrictions of the extraction of natural resources like oil, coal and timber, etc). Where she failed was her refusal to bow the knee to Trump and her questioning of his instigation of the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. Liz Cheney’s ousting proves the ‘big lie’ is the Republican party’s religion
This person is much more typical of the majority of "illegals" that ICE and Trump are deporting than are the alleged gang members from Venezuela and El Salvador. The dirty not so secret is that a very small percentage of undocumented immigrants in this country are actual criminals. The only "crime" that they have committed is their undocumented status and as this thread indicates Trump is so desperate to inflate the number of deportees that he has had to withdraw legal status of immigrants who are registered with ICE and are easy to locate. Mom of 3, who fled to US to escape abuse, faces deportation after 20 years or this person Georgia college student faces deportation after being mistakenly pulled over during traffic stop A traffic stop in Dalton, Georgia, which police admitted was a mistake, led to a 19-year-old Mexico-born college student's arrest and possible deportation. The Dalton Police Department on Monday said it was dropping the traffic-related charges against Ximena Arias-Cristobal that led to her initial arrest last week. But she remains at an ICE detention facility in southwest Georgia. According to local news reports, she has lived in the Dalton area since her family came to the U.S. when she was 4 years old. She is enrolled at Dalton State Community College. Her arrest sparked protests in the city.
I jumped that shark long ago. Had business interactions with them, told me everything I needed to know long before he ever got into politics
The United States is no longer a humanitarian country, so it does seem to make sense to eliminate a humanitarian program. Why you and so many others find that to be a great thing to do is a little strange to me.
Lol tell us you know the difference between a uvula and a uterus, Still Laughing My Azz Off about that one.
You might wanna go back and look at that post of mine. Apparently, you don’t know humor, even if it smacks you right in the face.
Lots of sr care going to get deported. Hopefully those people getting kicked off medicaid don't mind watching grandma and maga don't mind them caring for their parents I'm sure all the good Christians at their church are going to volunteer to fill the void created by their messiah https://www.politico.com/news/2025/...l-immigrants-threatens-health-sector-00377579 Goodwin Living, a faith-based, not-for-profit elder care complex just across the Potomac River from D.C., is poised to lose 65 staff members following Supreme Court rulings on Friday and earlier in May that gave the Trump administration permission to terminate humanitarian parole and temporary protected status issued by prior presidents to migrants from several countries plagued by poverty and violence. “I just can’t even imagine the impact it would have on those of us that are cared for on a daily basis if we were to suddenly lose them,” said Jill Miller, who has resided at Goodwin Living for eight years with her husband Carl. “They’re the backbone.” ... These vulnerabilities underscore the precarity of the nation’s patchwork immigration system. Immigrants — both documented and undocumented — make up a disproportionate share of the health care workforce, particularly in areas like long-term care for the elderly and people with disabilities, and their expulsion would make existing shortages much worse. Yet Congress’ decades-long inability to enact permanent fixes has left millions dependent on executive actions and discretionary programs that can be upended every time a new administration takes power — a situation people on all sides of the immigration debate agree is unsustainable.
