If I were Sully, I'd tell C-rod this is an audition for 2026 Sunday starter and keep him out there until he keeps up 10-ish runs or it's a 2-run game. And, in hopes that he doesn't transfer if this ends 18-3, that would be first comment in the post-game interview.

 

Everyone who has played this game has had a day like this - no rhyme or reason to it - it's just baseball. Tomorrow is another day.

 

Ok make that 5 base on balls. But given up an unlucky 13 hits.

We’re missing Luke’s defensive skills as well as his leadership.

 

Mercifully it appears my network connection has stalled and the broadcast has been interrupted

 

Our injuries catching up with us... plus you can't have your so-called "ace" fail so badly yet again. If I recall, Peterson had mostly poor outings in post season last year. Perhaps doesn't have the mental toughness needed for the spotlight. That said- -this is a scrappy ECU team- I like the way they play the game. Fundamentally sound and do a lot of the little things right.
