Gotta think Red is injured, so Ava. .....and without our ace PBP yesterday, we dropped a game, but I'm sure that with her back, victory is ours!
Wouldn't be surprised if we see Hammock, by far her best pitching performance of the season besides that game at A&M. I think walton throws Keagan tho
More than likely Rothrock will get the start. She's the horse we rode last year and I think CTW wants it to be the same this season, despite the missed time and struggles down the stretch. We just need the bats to come alive.
4 p.m. Game Time Set for Gainesville Super Regional Finale Game three of the Gainesville Super Regional is set for Sunday at 4 p.m. on ESPN.
Just saw that weather is supposed to kick in at around 6pm? Does anyone know if it will be heavy rain? Don't know why NCAA would risk weather delays when the earlier part of the day is clear skies.
The forecast I see doesn't look too bad. But out of curousity, if they can't get it in, does it automatically carry to Monday? And if there were a situation where both days were unplayable, do the just continue carrying the game until the next clear day? They don't do some Oklahoma/Texas A&M bullsh*t and flip a coin, right?
It will probably start on another channel (hopefully not ESPN+) because the Nebraska/Tennessee game starts at 2 pm on ESPN. Gators get the shaft again because there is no chance of rain in Gainesville until about 4 pm and while the chances are not large, we all know about lightning delays. Plus it's going to be in the 90's and very humid.
There used to be a cutoff, and they would advance the higher seed. Not sure if that is still utilized
It just depends, if they have a chance to fit it in and wait it out they will. I think game 3 of the 2014 super regional they had a long weather delay and play resumed at 10:30pm. I know a few regionals have had their sunday game moved to monday, but I don't think it has happened with a super regional to my knowledge. If the game cannot be played at all, then the higher seed advances. I also think that if the game is after the 5th inning and the game is called/can't be continued, the team with the lead will advance.
