I agree with you, but the argument is they should have applied for one legally. The reasons they don't is for tax savings or they might have a record.

Forever, now that's just dumb statement. I think the owners should be given an ultimatum, pay for all their illegal workers to get registered and help them apply for the work visas which would allow them to stay. Any business that doesn't comply should be arrested and face steep fines

How do these employees get around current law, such as the quota for new immigrant workers a year? 8 million > 110,000 quota. Or the fact that H1B visas only allow a person to work in the US six years, and the average immigrant stays for over 16 years, meaning many are no longer eligible.

Nice. Perhaps builders could sell properties as-is for a steep discount

Once upon a time there was American president who made a reasonable proposal to address the "problem" of the hiring of undocumented immigrants. In simple terms it was rational and would have given them temporary legal status.
President Bush Proposes New Temporary Worker Program

The proposal was included in two immigration reform bills both of which were defeated.

if you are talking to me personally, I would NEVER hire someone I knew was illegal and do not even begin to understand why you would accuse me of doing so-

I worked for a new home builder for 7 years selling homes- I found out the roofer was using illegals and I turned them in with no regrets.

On the other hand you had no problem with voting to elect this candidate who employed illegals to the presidency and apparently you have no regrets for your vote.

Floozy? Interesting that you can use that derogatory term for a female, but if I use the comparable term for Trump, I would be banned.

    Be better Bill.
