    stop

think about the fact that his entire ability to simply declare a tariff is based ont eh soel fact that the senate allows him to do so under the guise that the US is under invasion from fentanyl.

has the country lost sight of that fact?

dem senators need to keep bringing this up for vote every week. sadly, the pubs somehow created a rule to stop this vote from ever being brought up again

these senators that allow this to continue should be impeached. they have violated their oath

Democrats don't have the votes and Republican members of congress have demonstrated time and time again that they will not hold Trump accountable. The ones who get replaced are the ones seen as not loyal enough to Trump. The only way things will change is if the general public wakes up and public sentiment turns against Trump. Unfortunately, that won't happen until they are personally negatively impacted, although that day is coming soon if the madness doesn't stop.

Utter abuse of power. He has no right to dictate where things are made. His end cannot come fast enough.

How in the world is that not a bill of attainder? A tariff on a (US-based) company?

Last night, a bunch of people gave Donald Trump (not the RNC or his campaign but him personally) money to meet with him in the form of his meme coin. This morning, he started an event with a major impact on stock prices, especially for one particular stock. Coincidence?

Good question. Is it just threat via a Truth Social post or is it an actual policy with a tariff imposed on a class of goods carefully crafted to hit a particular company?

Yeah, probably just market manipulation to help the people who gave him money. Because that is the world now.

Bessent obviously know better, it's another example of what one of his few competent cabinet secretaries will do or say to placate their willfully ignorant boss.

But wait! There's more to the very well thought out and definitely not made up on the fly tariff plan for smartphones:

The absolute corruption of this administration is beyond comprehension and unparalleled. The market manipulation caused directly by tRump should be an impeccable offense for any competent body to judge. In normal times, he would be removed from office. The potted plants who were once the Republican Party will do nothing until voters remove them from office power.

Kudos to Trump for allowing the Nippon steel deal. He & Biden opposed it & said - insanely - that it was a national security threat while campaigning. This is a very good thing. Be even cooler if we got rid of all steel tariffs.

p.s. I think it is gross that this needed gov approval.
