Well, she seems nice. A woman at a playground goes viral for calling a young autistic kid a racial slur and then follows it up calling an adult the slur. As a token of appreciation random supporters give her $750K through a Christian Website. No word yet if she will receive a Presidential Medal of Some Sort.

    Story
A woman who called a Black child a slur has raised a backlash but also tons of money - ABC News

A video showing a Minnesota woman at a playground last week openly admitting to using a racist slur against a Black child has garnered millions of views. But what's been equally appalling for some is that the woman has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in crowdfunds.

In the video, a man in Rochester, a city roughly 90 miles (145 kilometers) south of Minneapolis, confronts the woman for calling a 5-year-old boy the N-word. The woman appears to double-down on the racist term and flips off the man confronting her with both of her middle fingers.

The woman, who could not be reached for comment, has since amassed over $700,000 through Christian fundraising platform GiveSendGo for relocation expenses because of threats she received over the video. The fundraising page said she used the word out of frustration because the boy went through her 18-month-old child's diaper bag. The Associated Press has not verified this assertion.

I called the kid out for what he was,” she wrote, adding that the online videos have “caused my family, and myself, great turmoil.”

She’s a POS but equating her actions with every conservative is a stretch even for that Twitter/X handle.

She raised $700,000+. So it isn’t just an indictment on one person. It’s an indictment of everyone that gave money through that “Christian” crowdfunding site, if not the site itself. I think we still have a few here that would sympathize even if they wouldn’t admit it or send money. Presumably several hundreds (at least) must have actually taken the step to chip in support for this disgusting person. I assume she lost her job or something, and this is anti-cancel culture. But even with that assumption in mind, pretty sick that money could have gone to real causes.

I think she can skip ahead of the line to get a Fox News posting followed by Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in the Trump admin. You don't see these kinds of qualifications every day.

Which cabinet position which he must be suited for and how quickly can we expect members on this board to announce their full support?

This is the kind of the thing I think we should all denounce and ignore. Not because her actions aren’t revolting; they are. But because I think when it is brought up this way, as a movement of us vs them, it pushes people to support or denounce her more than need be. Her moment was terrible, and hopefully she can come to see that. But we need not risk her becoming a martyr, as too often happens.

Ignoring them does nothing but embolden them and reinforce that their behavior is acceptable. 79 Million Americans now buy into this garbage.

Perhaps so, nc. However, I would say that 700k emboldens them even more, and this money wouldn’t appear without an opposition. This is money to fight the battle. No battle, no support. “Help me protect my family” - That’s something that can stir hearts. “Help me abuse this child” - that isn’t.

I don't like what she says, and have no reason to support that kind of hate speech. But just look at the alternative... Look what's happening in Europe. Which one is worse? Hate speech... or jail time for free speech? Jail time for speaking out against the government? Unfortunately it seems to be one or the other.

I like your post rade, but...can we denounce... AND ignore?

Seems to denounce, is to not ignore.

Yeah my advice is probably contradictory. Maybe it would be better to say something like denounce the action and leave it at that.

The young mother calling the little boy the n word, is clearly wrong (even assuming the kid did wrong too).

But to what extent is doxing, hounding and harassing her and her family, acceptable as well?

3 wrongs don't make a right, anymore than (the first) 2.

Kinda what I inferred, but had to ask to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I think that's exactly the play.
