I 100% would be shocked if Keagen left but I know people come after her. She seems to be happy here but this season has been challenging for her.

 

The quote was “2 big names from the state of florida”, the only three on our roster from the state that qualify are those three. If you meant any of the schools in Florida, very different story.

 

I don't see Jocey leaving tbh. It will be her senior season and she has repeatedly said how much she loves Florida. IDK how much our players get from NIL but I imagine if she wanted money she would have stayed at OU. I think keagan is a full gator as well, who knows if any other coach would have sat her during the start of conference season to put her health first.

 

I think theres a Riker Chason connection from his LSU days.. Or did he leave before she arrived?

 

Two big names form the state of Florida. Could be UF, FSU, UCF idk. My guess is UF

 

I might be as naive as they come but I don't think any of them will leave for more money. Taylor could approach an almost astronomical offer and I still don't think she would take it. From what I have heard repeatedly from people close to her she is as happy as anyone could be at UF. I don't know for sure but I don't think she and her family need money. I just don't think there is any amount that would get her to leave. She doesn't ask me for my advice so what do I know. But, if she stays for four years she just might end up as the greatest Gator ever and, given what Amanda thinks of her, I don't think Amanda would have a problem with that.

 

I don't think they meant grew up in Florida. I think they meant Florida schools. And it seems to be hinted it's UF players. But maybe Isa Torres from FSU but I would be shocked

 

Yeah UCF has that good freshmen pitcher. FSU has a heavy senior class leaving after this year so could see the young ones leave there too. No one will know tho until announcements are made. For now, goal is to get back to OKC!

 

I think I'll just enjoy this year's team in the post season to see how far they can go and then start thinking about next year's roster afterwards.

 

I would be surprised if any of the returning starters leave.

I 100% hope you're right. I honestly feel the same they all seem very happy as gators. But the money being thrown around is crazy.

 

I've got what I think is an interesting situation to watch....will Sophia Bordi enter the portal? Bordi is, to everything I have watched, a solid two-way player. She is from New Jersey but good enough to fly across the country on a continual basis to become an integral fixture on the Batbusters. She had camped with us and I am certain she was high on our list for a recruit. She chose Oklahoma. She was redshirted and left the team a couple weeks ago. Now it gets intriguing. She supposedly left for some "personal" reasons but after she did, and only after she did to my knowledge, Gasso came out with a statement that she was redshirted because she "wasn't strong enough". Now, that could be true I suppose, but it strikes as a very strange thing for a coach to say about a player after the player has left the team. The company line is she left for personal reasons and will be back but I have my doubts. Bordi did post on social media something to the effect that there have been a lot of untruths told about and that she "supports my teammates". Which strikes me as something of a non-denial denial or whatever. I wouldn't be surprised if she hits the portal and if we don't try to get her.

Could mean something or could simply mean Keagan knows her. Edwards is from Indiana, as is Keagan, and played for the Lady Dukes, as did Keagan. Could mean she is simply a friend or could mean she would be a good pickup for us. I'm surprised at the number of people leaving MSU....they were pretty good this year.

 

Their only reliable arm/ace that could compete against top competition is graduating plus two of the top hitters as well. Don't really have anyone else in the bullpen left that can compete against top competition, so i could see why some of the starters have decided to enter the portal. The coach will for sure have her work cut out for her.

 

As a general matter, what is a top-tier player at UF making NIL, more or less? I tried Googling and didn't get any answers.
