You ever decide to, well, learn something, about his cryptocurrency scam for example? Got any feelings about that? Or should a sitting president earn hundreds of millions, or even billions, of dollars on a shady untraceable cryptocurrency while he rewards those buyers with literally access to the White House? In addition to ..... well, who can know what else he's done to reward his bribers, because we don't even know the buyers.

Yep. He said that model of jet is no longer in production, so it's more expensive to operate and hard to get parts for. With all of the retro fitting and upgrades (he estimates $500M to $1B), he doubts it would be available before the new Boeing models are finished. He said there should have been more disclosure that the Biden administration was in talks with Qatar about the plane first. He said that the Trump Library would probably use it as a display piece and not a functioning jet because it's already 12 years old and twice as expensive to operate as a newer jet.

So, after $500M to $1B in retrofitting and upgrades, we get 1 or maybe 2 years of more costly operation out of it before he finishes his term and it's sent off to the library as a display piece. That's not very cost effective or efficient. There are 2 AF1s in service now and 2 replacements being built because they only need 2. If those 2 are completed first, the Qatari gift is a third that is not needed but the retro fits and upgrades are already going in. If it does somehow get finished first, it's a 12 year old discontinued model that is more expensive to operate and hard to get parts for and it's going to be retired by the new models once they're ready - so again, 1 to 2 years for $500M to $1B (maybe his $400K salary (x4) could go toward it and bring it down to $498.4M to $998.4M). Yes, if there was more discussion of Biden's involvement, maybe it wouldn't look like such a blatant grift but they probably obscured Biden's part because a) it was an easy time/cost decision for Biden to say no thanks and b) it wouldn't look like such a super awesome special ass kissing for Trump's ego.

Legality/constitutionality aside, it's just a bad deal.

Who knows. It's as shady as Qatar bailing out bad investments by Kushner or establishing a multibillion dollar "investment fund" with 'Lil Jared.

One thing's for sure - it all looks shady as hell. And gifting Trump a plane is almost certainly illegal. (Not that you or any other loyal MAGAs care.)

The company controlled by the family of the White House adviser Jared Kushner is close to receiving a bailout of its troubled flagship building by a company with financial ties to the government of Qatar, according to executives briefed on the deal.

Charles Kushner, head of the Kushner Companies, is in advanced talks with Brookfield Asset Management over a partnership to take control of the 41-story aluminum-clad tower in Midtown Manhattan, 666 Fifth Avenue, according to two real estate executives who have been briefed on the pending deal but were not authorized to discuss it. Brookfield is a publicly traded company, and its real estate arm, Brookfield Property Partners, is partly owned by the Qatari government, through the Qatar Investment Authority.

Charles Kushner and his son Jared, President Trump’s son-in-law and one of his key advisers, bought the office tower, which is between 52nd and 53rd Streets, 11 years ago for a record-setting $1.8 billion. But the building today only generates about half its annual mortgage payment, and 30 percent of the 41-story tower is vacant.
