I enjoy this version and even downloaded it onto my phone but it gets more credit than it deserves in my opinion. His theatrics and the fact the general public was mostly unaware of his guitar prowess is what fed into the legend of this performance IMHO. Jeff Healey played and sang an amazing cover of this as well with very little fanfare comparatively. Again, not to say one is better than another just pointing out what I see is a little bit of an overblown reception of this performance. Its great.
AJ is just really terrific as a spot up shooter. Between him and Haugh, I think you can literally park them in the corner or on the weakside wing and that will open up ball action and the paint. I am very curious on Klavzar, too. He can be a pest defensively, but gets lost a lot. If he can be consistent defensively, then he will get enough time on the court to get his offense going. I don't love him with Fland, Lee, or Haugh on the perimeter defensively. Might be a little better suited to playing with AJB and ZB.
How hard is it to stay on topic? Something new might come up and you’re cluttering it up so bad nobody will see it.
Im gonna leave this alone because its going into another tangent but its not uncommon for a thread to meander a little once news has broken and the subject has been discussed. Its still a bit fresh so I'll give you that and step aside.
Hopefully we can call Boogie something else so every game thread that mentions his name doesn’t start a music discussion.
You are damn correct. I thought we all got it just a few hours ago. Plainly, this thread is all about classic TV clips, or Smokey and the Bear clips. C'mon folks, stay the course!!!
And if I may make a request, can we end this thread prematurely? Like... just before it hits 136 pages? Please!?!
Right, they experimented on Who’s Next, particularly on Baba O’ Riley with great results. I think the Beatles and the Moody Blues played around with the moog, which I believe is some sort of spring and tape contraption (back in the day)
Since both of you are relatively new . . . like antny1 pointed out, off-season threads can wander. We were waiting on any news and everyone discussed other things while waiting. When a thread meanders, like this one, I usually put something in the title to let people know where to go and that also indicates something has happened.
