Of course, you are right! I should have stated it is my favorite. My son thinks the piano solo in Allmans Jessica is up there and it is. The BJ piece you posted is extraordinary - I’ve played it a zillion times! I get full of myself sometimes! I’m glad you noted that solo from Angry Young Man - I am a huge Billy Joel fan. I believe I saw him in Gainesville while at UF, or maybe it was Jax, or Orlando; hard to remember the details from those beer influenced days.
Are these guys ever going to be on the court at the end of a game when we are up by 20 in the last two minuets? Gonna blow everyone out.
I so dearly hope Coach Golden's professional basketball aspirations are miniscule. I see a sports and academic juggernaut rolling through the NCAA, wearing Orange&Blue..
So, we ran out of music (and disco, since...well...you know) references and now we are onto classic TV clips? Okay, count me in! BTW, this is a great comic actor named Bob Denver (no, not the singer). This is NOT aka, although I am sure he can relate...
Absolutely spot on. He was recruiting well through the portal and did great getting Lloyd and Ingram out of high school. With a title, now the elite high school talent could potentially follow. Looking forward to seeing how things progress the next few years.
Classic rock in fact ALL ROCK reached it's NADIR with Kiss (for white dudes) and Parliament (for Black dudes). The entire genre of music from folk to classical has been in decline ever since.
And if we can also go to classic movie clips, how about this one? One of my favorites, as it says SO much. And as an aside, doesn't he look a bit like Pearl if you dressed him up a bit?
Maybe a double spring game National Championship next year, now that would shake up D1 sports. Maybe Queens song “We are the Champions” playing as they come out of the tunnel, confetti flying, ESPN filming this to the world with their most popular announcers in attendance. Two different sets of analysts, coaches players to talk about the Gator teams and their season, respectfully. maybe setup a large pool with live Gators in it, feed them every time the crowd stops cheering, then watch in glee as different famous athletes from Florida do the honors, LOL. Last but not least have Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs do a couple of Tom Petty songs to close out the Party……now that’s what could rock the boat.

Remember when prime time TV had musical worth? The Brady Bunch The Partridge Family Gilligan's Island Society is in a terrible decline............................
For Elton, I’d say Honky Chateau; a lot to choose from. I feel the sports forum purists may revolt at these music posts infiltrating the basketball threads; it’s all Boogies fault! Can you imagine the music analogies if Gator softball signed an Angie or Layla?
Now this is a thread mis-direct I can get behind. "Let me have a Diablo Sandwich and a Dr Pepper and make it fast! I'm in a @#$%^* hurry!" If I had a dollar for every occasion in which I quoted that line in some pressure-packed moment, and always to the confusion of the ill-informed...I'd have a lot of dollars. Burt Reynolds, even if he is a Nole, is sublime in this fil, as are all of the actors. Inspired performances.
One of the gratest collection of artists covering George Harrison's, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." For all of you music nerds, this song starts in Am and then goes to A major in the chorus. Check out Prince's two and half minute outro and then, throws his guitar over his head as he leaves the stage! (Okay...back to our regular scheduled Boogie Fland Programming.)
