Its confirmed Berzon is in the portal by Justin Mcleod. I read somewhere that before she committed to LSU, her top two were LSU and Florida, anyone know if this is true? Would not mind trying to get her tbh. Kylee Edwards would also be a nice addition. Portal starting to heat up.
Hammack is a senior. If you're referring to one of our Top 3 of Rothrock, Brown & Oxley, maybe, but they all seem to love being Gators.
Seems like a hard sell to Tech from G ville or Okla. Small college town to big traffic jam, with ugly campus and no softball tradition. But $$$ and/or family could make a difference
Mississippi state being hit hard right now. Losing their ace pitcher and top 2 hitters to graduation. Now two starters and 3rd string pitcher hitting the portal.
I agree and hope so which is why I wouldn't think we'd be in it for Berzon. She's too good to be a role player IMO
She has just never impressed me thst much. I know she did what she did against us but we helped her a lot. I dont know i jsut feel like when shes off shes really off.
The only one that scares me is Oxley with her fewer inning and when she has pitched she has looked off both pitching wise and her demeanor.
Well there’s only three bigger type names from Florida in Williams, Miller and Oxley really. None of that would be good…I will wait before freaking out though, rumors are called rumors for a reason.
My biggest fear is the behind the scenes dollars that would be thrown out. Especially for one of our players and it doesn't take a genius to figure out which one. While I am not at liberty to say anything with specificity, I know for a fact that two of our players last year, not in the portal, were offered massive money and to leave UF and turned it down.
I may be disappointed but expect Auburn to offer lots of blank checks(or whatever it takes to land softball players lol) in portal.. Entire lineup gone(Srs) minus the Fr Adams. And no pitchers worth a hoot to start with.. Geurrin ok, but far from a ace IMO.
Yes it does. And to whoever said the only 3 big names are Williams, Oxley, and Miller think again. Rothrock, Townsen Thomas, Taylor freaking Shumaker, Jocey, Comia. The only reason I think Ava and Mia are safe is because Ava has DJ and is 100% gator. And Mia is a gator legacy and any other coach would've benched her last year.
I dont doubt that not one bit. Hope they can do it again. And for this stuff to be happening during season is damn ridiculous.
