That's not true. He did receive a salary. He said he "donated" a sum that was the same as his salary for the quarter. By the way, i have it on good authority that he deducted those donations as "tax exempt" thus in the end he received about $130,000 in salary for being President. Your accuracy rate might be near zero.

    Right here
Threats are an acceptable part of politics. Unless done through a highly veiled code in sea shells.

splitting hairs. Donating his salary is basically the same thing. He didn’t want to accept a salary but he was required to so he donated it to different causes each quarter. Your link indicated his donation in one of those quarters.

Its not splitting hairs. He did get a salary and if he donated 400,000 he got a tax deduction. So he didnt donate his full salary that he did receive. Nothing about your post was actually accurate.

Bessent is on the crazy train. To paraphrase, he retorted… if tariffs are inflationary, an [income] tax cut is deflationary. Say what? An income tax cut will result in more disposable income, which is generally inflationary in nature. This is beyond Voodoo Economics. We are now in the land of Illuminati Economics.

I refuse to believe he actually attended Yale or led Soros’ London fund management office. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since he’s also working for an administration that is against his own personal rights.
