One of the best freshmen ( actually best pitchers) we have seen in a while and definitely deserves first team all SEC accolades. King is now down to a 2.63 ERA. This puts him at #2 in the entire sec as true freshman… Kudos to Sully as he knew what he saw. King was somehow ranked the number 13 Right handed pitcher in the state of Florida last year.
As long as the silliness hasn't taken over baseball, I anticipate King to be in a Gator uniform for the next two years. Damn, what a find!
For sure, data says he’s one of the best in league. He’s got Friday night stuff and the mental toughness is just as impressive.
Next years pitching staff should be very strong and have more seasoned returners relying on mostly freshmen. However we must find a SS, 1B and C.
I’d like to think kolt Myers is our ss or the new freshman jj schwartz. Clayton is redshirting with the intention that he’s our catcher next year but I’d love to see us pick up a catcher in the portal. After seeing Lawson at 1st vs 3rd I’m ok keeping him at first and finding a 3rd baseman. But really I want like 3-4 pitchers from the portal with one being a clear weekend starter quality.
