Watched as well SJB, it sure seemed like Todd was referring to "we want to sign one more guy", as being Boogie.

He also seemed to suggest Condo had a good chance to come back to UF.

As our knowledgeable poster rserina has already posted, even if all that happens it's a stretch to expect UF to be anywhere close to last season, for all the reasons he elaborated on.

Be that as it may, many basketball pundits are excited about UF's prospects should BF sign and Condo and Chin come back.

Southeastern 16 Bball podcast ( I happen to follow and like them) among others, would rank UF in the preseason top 4, or even top 2.

That is highly speculative of course. I like what sincerelyench posted. All we Gator fans can hope for is Todd gets the kettle at the right temperature and with a dash of this and that, and with a good stir, see what "cooks".

What NBN does recognize is UF is often not first in line at the talent acquisition table. That has now changed, UF is now front and center of the College Basketball world. Todd has proven he can mold an exceptional unit. That's all we fans can hope for, give coach the players he wants to rebuild with.

What we do know is he turned Sloppy Joe's into Prime Rib in three short years. Todd has some good ingredients to start the new campaign with and looks to be adding more.

I'm excited about the future. B Ball is super fun again.

 

Truth is, I'm as excited for bb season to start as I am of football. Frankly, I anticipate a better outcome in bb than football simply based on coaching.

 

Not that I know anything, but it seems to me that this "play" is substantially different than the USC guard's "play". If the game were on and it wasn't about the team's goals, I think the dialog would be MUCH different than what we are witnessing.

Maybe there are those BIG fish who are now taking notice and making life more difficult (kind of like when you are fishing for king mackerel and a shark or two show up to figure out what is all the ruckus). But in the end, methinks the big banks still haven't figured out the little bank's game. Still stuck in the 2010s. That was SOOOO long ago...

Seriously though the longer it plays out the worse our chances are. I’m not saying we don’t get him, but need to lock it down soon.

 

I mean, that’s normally how it plays out, but it hasn’t been a week yet, there have been no rumors of visits, and we are supposedly the only team he has officially met with.
