No they don’t. Like the US it can be geographical with some areas having high and others low. But overall they have low fluoride counts in natural water.

“The concentration of fluoride in ground water in the EU is generally low…”

Fluoride has become medical dogma and political sadly. The science is changing. Funny how people will not accept it. I posit that it is because of team politics. Which is sad.

If you are not cavity prone and your dentist pushes fluoride. I would consider looking for another dentist instead of giving them money for a treatment that you do not need and can have negative affects to the microbiome. If you are cavity prone the reward can outweigh the harm.

If there is any credence to the studies coming out on Fluoride in water then we should not be putting it in water if you ask me.

Fluoride is good for brushing your teeth, however... there is too much science that proves it in NOT GOOD TO INGEST.

But here's the thing, Tilly. If you want to add fluoride to your water I'm sure you can find some to add to your personal drinking water. I applaud not having it in my drinking water. Remember you can still brush your teeth every day... with fluoride toothpaste.

The people upset about this are the same people who don’t question anything in medicine. They let antiquated medical dogma guide them. It is a problem for sure.

If you are still going to the doctor and just letting them run basic diagnostics as your test…

Do not be upset when an unexpected event happens you were not prepared for.

So many refuse to accept the real science happening. And it is bipartisan!

Fluoride is overrated in 2025 in western societies. It was added 80 years ago because dental hygiene sucked in the US. Case in point, me. I haven't drunk tap water in decades because I don't like the taste of tap water nor can I tolerate the chlorine smell in all tap water from the southern US to the west. Some places are worse than others. But I brush my teeth with a fluoride toothpaste and I get 2 checkups a year and haven't had a cavity in 20 years.

Some may say children aren't great at brushing their teeth but that's on the parents then. It you start your kids early, 18 months, they will learn to brush their teeth. There are children's version that are safe in case you worry about ingesting too much fluoride but most kids aren't drinking from the tap anymore. Most households are using Brita filters and the like.

Really, Americans should fear more than losing out on Fluoride in our water system. There are 200 other chemicals that aren't filtered out. It's very possible many of our health issues is directly tied to how bad our tap water really is.
