Napier so far seems to like to control the clock and possesions much like we did with Tebow. 08 national championship was a gtear example. We didnt score quickly but our offense dominated them nonetheless. I could see our offense ranked lower than some because of less possessions. I dont think he was to run the amount of plays some schemes do.

Lol, if you expect the worse you wont be disappointed. Prepared as though everything will go wrong though?

It's more likely he doesn't want to call so many plays because he does not have them. What sane person would run fewer plays if running more equaled more points? I'm thinking about the two minute situations we've had where it seemed like the staff shut it down and went to the locker room.

30-10 or 42-14? Both still alot of interceptions. Im hoping for more like 30-7 with a handful of rushing tds added.

Theres a ton of ball control offenses throughout college and pros. Why create more possessions with a lead and let otheres back in the game.

I'm thinking more keep scoring and put the game out of reach. Yes, sometimes you rely on Defense but if a team can keep scoring they should until the game is out of reach. Why wouldn't you? The reason I linked 2008 and 2024 is one team was scoring in the 40s, the other 28. I'm all for ball control and 40pts a game.

08 had a top offense while running the least amount of plays of any team near the top of that list. They scored more tds on less possessions. That makes the othe team either score or fall further behind just t like the national championship.

Yep, SOS used that bury them and make it out of reach with often lethal results.

Theres always a few defenses in the country that will take part of your game away if you are one dimensional . I dont think it was luck that Freddy was back there anchoring the best offense spurrier ever had.

No doubt. Yes they threw it all over the ball park, but he ran the ball more than public perception would leave one to believe.

That's the point. Napier needs to do something similar, for his own good. The more plays the slow approach runs, the more likely mistakes or penalties stall a drive. His offensive sets have been painfully slow and some of us probably wonder if that's because he needs time to think, or if he believes that's beneficial.

Tebow off tackle was what everthing tgat 08 offense played off of. Without that slow methodical style, we wouldnt had had all our receivers in single coverages. When teams got two tds down, it was insurmountable because Tebow was going to lead another 14 play drive. If you dont score, he makes it 3 tds. It often wasn't flashy but inevitable.

I think if you see a delay of game to start the season you'll know who is calling our plays.

Especially in the second half. Not being able to run when you should is a detrimental. Being able to run at will breaks defenses faster than anything. Tebow demoralized teams. They knew it was coming and still couldnt stop it. The threat of Harvin among many others helped no doubt .

Proves it can happen to the best in the business. I really think that game was an epiphany for SOS and he committed from that point on to never stop trying to score. All the RUTS he got accused of during his reign at UF can probably be traced back to that awful game and the mistakes he swore to himself he’d never make again
