What drives the song isn't the lyrics, but the impassioned delivery of mumbo jumbo around the catchy hook.

That's why it was restructured from its original country folk tune iteration (that sucked out loud), into a rock jam.

Everyone knows that Trump is a fake patriot who only cares about enriching himself through criminal acts. People have known that for decades. He's a convicted felon.

Why would Bruce be any different? Unlike Trump, Bruce Springsteen actually loves America. Not stealing from people less well off.

He’s no Kid Rock that’s for sure. If I was a conservative I’d hate my life too if Kid Rock and Ted Nugent were my “noteworthy” celebrity musicians.

I like Kid Rock and Ted Nugent's music... that much is for sure, regardless of their politics. But it is nice to know they're real Patriots too. I found that out about them way later in their respective musical careers.
