Fla home insurance cost about to go up?

    My homeowner's policy in ATL was about $340/month on a pretty sizable property. With boys in school (and not wanting to live in GA when they grad), moved to a nice townhome that we can just lock the door on and travel for months on end. Now paying $7/month for insurance.

    I pay $1358.00 per year with full coverage on a 2020 year built house worth about $565.

    I paid just over $2,300+ last year.

    About 1K less this year with a highly rated company that gives big discounts to newer homes.

    Wow. I paid $1900 and none of hurricane risk here

    I have not had a hurricane either. Now tornadoes are a different story.
