Borzello: From a college perspective, the biggest news Tuesday was Boogie Fland's decision to withdraw from the draft and return to college, as first reported by ESPN. Fland is ranked No. 42 in ESPN's draft rankings and was a projected second-round pick in the latest mock draft.

A former five-star prospect and McDonald's All American, Fland entered the transfer portal before the deadline last month and now becomes one of the best players still available. For Arkansas, he averaged 15.1 points and 5.7 assists over the first 18 games of his freshman season before sustaining a hand injury in mid-January that forced him to sit out most of the rest of the season.

The most recent buzz surrounding his potential destination has centered on Florida, the reigning national champion, as the Gators are in desperate need of a playmaking guard to pair with Princeton transfer Xaivian Lee.

 

Watch out for Alabama and Kentucky here.

Right! Kentucky still has $549 million left in their budget for the upcoming season. The reason their remaining funds are this low is because they overspent on printing UK, National Champions 2026! on tee shirts. posters, mugs, decals, socks, pajamas, commemorative magazines, wrist bands, basketballs, pennants, key fobs, hats, beenie caps, lingerie, Denzel Aberdeen seat cushions, and other misc items.

 

I haven't heard them mentioned at all with Fland so far. Kansas, Duke, UNC, even NC State. Kentucky already has multiple guys at the one/combo (Lowe, Aberdeen, Williams, plus a 5* freshman). I could see Bama, but haven't seen much there.

 

Screw them.

People better start saying “Watch out for Florida here.” And “Watch out for Todd Golden here.”

Hopefully we will get some good news today on boogie. This is dragging out too long, and get some good news on condon coming back this weekend and then we can go in the off season feeling good about a repeat!

 

He just announced he was withdrawing the other day, we just met with him again yesterday, and he hasn’t made any visits. Not sure that it is dragging out, really.

 

In the NIL transfer world every day can make it more complicated though. Just need it shut down ASAP.

 

Well it's pretty exciting to think what UF will be if Condo and Chin return, given who is already staying and then with the additions of Lee, (maybe) Boogie, Brown, and the two incoming freshmen.

Southeastern 16 basketball pod-casters are drooling, saying if all that happens, they put UF in the top 4 to start the season.........maybe top 2........WOWZA, I hope it all falls into place and they are right.
