Israel ended fluoridation of drinking water in 2013 and this was the result: Since discontinuing fluoride in tap water, Israeli dentists have observed a significant rise in children’s cavities and have urged its reinstatement, even as some parents remain firmly against the idea. A study published in September found a significant increase in dental restorations and crowns among Israeli children ages 3 to 5, attributing the rise to fluoride’s absence. The researchers, from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, concluded that the results provided “further proof of the need to restore community water fluoridation in Israel.” Another study, published in January 2022, analyzed six years of data from dental clinics affiliated with a national Israeli healthcare network, showing that children ages 3 to 12 required nearly double the number of restorative treatments compared to before fluoridation ended. Researchers emphasized that even Israel’s expansion of free dental care for all children failed to offset the worsening dental health. https://jweekly.com/2024/12/26/rfk-...ater-israel-has-a-decade-of-lessons-to-offer/
Floride can be found in different toothpastes so parents that are concerned can get the fluoride for their children that way. The concern is for children whose parents don't care.
Science is a submicroscopic particle that will kill you as you enter a restaurant not wearing a mask, but can’t get to you when you’re sitting down.
Gonna start a new conspiracy that taking away fluoride was collusion between the government and dentists, one of the most reactionary professions around, and the fillings are mind control.
Had a tooth pulled five years ago. Dentist said if I didn’t replace with an implant the adjacent tooth would migrate and that the adjacent tooth was developing a cavity and would likely require a root canal. Went to another dentist last week. No migration. No cavity. Do too many dentists find what they’re looking for including teeth in need of fluoride ? And would it be okay for people to have the option to add their chemicals of choice ?
I’d also suggest how much tap water do people drink? Since the advent of bottled water I’d guess it has dropped a lot.
One of the smaller local municipalities near me hasn’t had it in the water for years. Oddly enough those residents typically have terrible teeth. Go figure.
My guess is that people who drink bottled water are more likely to use fluoride toothpaste and fluoride mouthwash than people who rely on tap water.
