Just goes to prove that Mario and Jack Daniels have no core values and are just political windbags that would sell their souls for power. You know, the people MAGA claims to hate.
I've finally figured out why Trump has jettisoned our traditional allies to suck up to the Saudis (I'm slow.) It's the money, honey! You don't see England or Germany rolling out the mega-jets as small tokens of their regard. It's a simple case of "follow the money,"--which has Trump running as fast as his little feet will take him-- to the pot of petro-dollars at the end of the rainbow. And he and his family are hoovering up that filthy lucre as fast as the Saudis can hang the "WELCOME!" banner above the Kingdom's treasury. Even for an egotistical narcissist, his self-serving greed is breathtaking.
Editing the post. The Trump crime family has so many deals with different Middle East monarchies that it's easy to conflate them. Although the Qatari plane is the most flagrant it's probably not even the largest in terms of dollar value. Trump’s Middle East visit comes as his family deepens its business, crypto ties in the region Trump’s Middle East trip marked by potential private business conflicts A week before Trump was scheduled to land in Saudi Arabia for a trip that would also take him to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, his son Eric spoke to a crowded convention center in Dubai about the Trump Organization’s plans to build an 80-floor hotel and residential tower there. He boasted that the “incredible icon” would “redefine luxury” and have the highest infinity-edge pool in the world, overlooking the towering Burj Khalifa building. Trump’s relationship with the Persian Gulf states offers insight into the instincts of a lifelong businessman who has made a career of selling. Trump has notably declined to duplicate his first-term pledge to not advance his personal business interests from the White House, but he has also managed to evade efforts by Congress and the courts to rein in his potential conflicts. Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have appeared at events in the region to advance deals including cryptocurrency and luxury penthouses, signaling the family intends to continue to pursue international deals even as Donald Trump leads U.S. foreign policy in the region. Qatar, where the president is scheduled to visit Wednesday, has previously paid his attorney general, FBI director and head of the Environmental Protection Agency, among others, to lobby or consult on behalf of the country and its royal family, a Washington Post review of Foreign Agents Registration Act filings and disclosures found.
No. Pretty sure it's the money thing, the abundant stroking of his ego, and all the swag his corrupt self can amass. He's a disgrace to the office and an abysmal failure as a person. Anyone who can't see that isn't looking. Maybe Qatari One is blocking your view.
Even on Fox Fox News legal analyst says that Trump's proposal to accept a luxury plane from the Qatari royal family violates the Constitution
There's really not much ambiguity here, and perhaps most importantly, there is no NEED to replace Air Force One right now before the intended replacements are ready. It's not as if Trump would be left without presidential transport if he didn't take it. He's doing it because he WANTS it.
What did Obama build in the private sector to sell? Answer = Nothing. How much money did Obama accumulate before becoming President, and what is he worth now? He can go do a $400,000 speech to the healthcare industry or get a reported 65 million Netflix deal without a peep. Reports say he grew his net worth by 5000+% after the presidency. Just a smidge under Clinton.
So do you have examples of how Obama intentionally and directly personally profited as President from selling White House access? Or not? $ObamaCoin?
Obama made money after he left office so that justifies Trump accepting a $400 MILLION aircraft while in office from a country with which is company is actively making investment deals. Brilliant.
I've not read the entire thread but I thought that the Plane goes to the DOD and then to the Trump Library. How is Trump getting anything other than a luxurious plane to ride on? I guess the question will be does he accept anything from China and does U.S. Policy toward Qutar change as a result of this gift?
The DOD has written policies against receiving gifts from foreign governments. So even in the generous interpretation where its not illegal or unconstitutional, he's still intentionally facilitating an ethics violation for the DOD.
It's not going to be displayed at the library - it will be owned by the library. AKA Trump's personal plane to use for the rest of his life with all maintenance and operating costs footed by taxpayers.
The 747-8i is a beautiful airplane. There is no debate here, this is not an acceptable gift under any circumstances. Either pay for it or decline. The responses from big gov don just solidifies/proves what type of person he really is and how many of us see him as. Easily flattered and open for sale among other things. He is being played like a fiddle and everyone should be concerned.
