Man I hope he comes back. I know he could sneak into the first round or whatever but Condon and Haugh could really be the faces of College basketball next year with the right kind of offseason. Couldn’t hurt him in his wallet or Draft projections.

Just going through the process will do him a lot of good.

Him and Haugh are going to dominate next year.

A point guard like Lee will make Condon a lot of money.

Rewatching so many of our recent games, even the ones in which Condo didn't have statistically good numbers, the many ways he contributes to winning just jump out at you.

This is true of so many on the team. Remarkable.

Yeah, and those were hotly contested rebounds in traffic. He just outworked everyone else.

wonder what his NIL deal would be next year. 2nd picks don’t get guaranteed money.

    Alex Condon 6-11.25 221.8 7-0.75 8-11.5

That’s 6’11.25 barefoot. Broome came in at 6’9.25 so 2 inches shorter, but at 249 so 27 pounds heavier

hope they think Condo needs another year in college, he needs to put on another 10-15 pounds and work on his shot more, especially around the rim and FTs

his standing reach at 8’11.5 is pretty short too for his height. Don’t know if his vertical was measured but that’s partly why he misses dunks and gets his shot blocked, he doesn’t get up as much as a 7-footer should, but he’s also a great rebounder and passer…we’ll see

    Winning games? Absolutely correct.

What the NBA wants to bank on with their first round draft choices? I seriously doubt it. As an aside, I saw where Castleton signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Raptors. It is a minimal contract but it does say he is in the bigs rather than going between leagues. My point isn't that Condon's game isn't draft worthy or Colin's was better, just that the NBA can take a LONG time deciding whether you are up to the task or not. And even though I don't get a vote, if Alex wants some assurances that he will be drafted in the first round or else he will head back to a place he loves and settle for a run at a back-to-back with his former (and future;)) roommate, methinks he is heading back to G'ville. JMHO

One thing I always looked at during my non-existent career as an NBA scout was shoulder height and width. Guys with high, wide shoulders defend so much better than those without, at any position. Castleton has wide shoulders, giving him special length. Condon does not, but makes up for it with raw athleticism and relentlessness.
Haugh has high, wide shoulders, by the way.
Rarely, you see a guy like Anthony Davis. Very tall, very athletic, very high shoulders, very wide shoulders, and long arms. And dominant for those reasons.

Yep, this is what they mean when they say “long”. Condo is tall but not long. Longer wingspans and reach matter, especially in the paint. But yes, he has a high motor, high IQ, tough as nails and a great passer for a big. Haugh has all those intangibles too and you’re right about his shoulders vs Condo. Wonder what his actual measurements are.

Locked On Gators podcast said that Condon is skipping the combine scrimmages? Good sign he's coming back?

Not necessarily. Could be a team told him they are going to be drafting him and so he is skipping for that reason.

I gotta get that almost guaranteed [to stay in draft]. I know I’m in that 20 to 35 range right now but you know, I’ve got a good situation waiting for me at Florida. It has to be a good situation for me to stay [in draft] but feedback I’m getting from teams right now is positive and I’m ready to stay in if I need to.”

If Castleton had close to Condon's motor, I'm pretty sure he'd be playing for the Lakers.

CC showed some pretty good offensive skills when he'd get on the court for the Lakers, including being a better passer (pretty good passer actually) than I realized he was. But, surprisingly to me, his defense was a little too slowish and he wasn't as effective a shot blocker as I thought he'd be based on how well he blocked shots in college.
