Yet drug prices were part of the Biden Inflation Reduction Act that zero House or Senate Pubs voted for.

Trump works on his comedy routine at his drug announcement. Article 25.

The real question is why the dems didn't listen to one of their own, Sanders? The best the DNC could do was to give Sanders the shaft when he ran against Clinton for the dem nomination. This could have/should have been a dem accomplishment.

Maybe Sanders should switch parties like RFK Jr. did? Trump like Sanders, said so many times, so I'm sure he could find something for him to do other than obstruct. obstruct, obstruct over the next 4 years. Don't answer as we all know the destruction of the old dem party is in play for the Sander's wing of the dem party.

Got to be an answer as Trump wanted to do this before he left the presidency. The question is why did the dems not follow through and do something?

When they announced their Medicare prescription price program? I thought it was great with much more room for opportunity

Why would Bernie switch parties when there's been only one talking about health care? Which party passed the bill to begin to negotiating Medicare drug pricing? Why do you think it took so long for Trump to listen to Bernie Sanders?

Why did you ask that question that was answered with the post quoted in your reply? Google Medicare drug pricing. LOL

The OP states straight away that Trump would find the democrats a willing accomplice in putting together legally binding anti-capitalist laws to lower drug prices. Either he doesnt want to really lower prices or it seem like too much work rather that putting together an ineffective tweet.

Just bizarre, almost laughable watching the maga crowd defend trumps socialist policy proposals that in the past the right has fought so hard against.
He is all over the place, tariffs come and go, price controls here today gone tomorrow, eliminate income taxes/IRS one day, tax the rich the next day, enact DOGE to reduce gov spending while creating massive deficits elsewhere, isolationist foreign policy while claiming to be a peacemaker in foreign conflicts.:rolleyes::confused:

What happened to "free market capitalism" is our economic mantra that Larry Kudlow and company used to throw out.

Seems that the new regime feels that capitalism, like the Constitution is "so last year". SMH

I think it's actually more devious, and is designed to directly interfere with the current negotiations between CMS and pharma companies as part of the Inflation Reduction Act.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'll be watching these developments for something to the effect of CMS delaying the current negotiations until they better understand and can comply with this EO, effectively delaying any drug cost reductions from the planned 2026 start.
