At best, Trump found a way to capitulate that he thinks makes him not look as weak as everyone realizes that he is.

At worst, just more lies from the most dishonest administration ever, and false presentation of idle talk as a "deal."

Really can't wait to hear also, LOL.

Still looks like negotiations are in progress and a final agreement has yet to be negotiated.
U.S. officials say ‘substantial progress’ made in China trade talks
The United States and China made “substantial progress” in trade talks over the weekend, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday, after representatives from the two countries met amid an escalating trade war. More details will be announced Monday, officials from both countries said. The White House claimed in a news release Sunday that the “U.S. Announces China Trade Deal in Geneva,” but did not provide any specifics.

Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer met with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng in Switzerland over the weekend, as both sides appear eager to ease economic hostilities.

“I’m happy to report that we’ve made substantial progress between the United States and China in the very important trade talks,” Bessent told reporters Sunday. Greer added that “perhaps the differences were not so large as maybe thought.”

Chinese delegates also spoke to the media Sunday. At a news conference in Geneva, He, the Chinese vice premier, said the discussions were candid, in-depth and constructive, adding that they were an “important first step” to resolving differences and had “laid the foundations” for reducing trade tensions.

Is this thread title accurate? Doesn't sound like any kind of "deal" was struck whatsoever.

    90 days…
    - shipping container costs will be insane,
    - imports will surge to fit in the 90 day period,
    - GDP will inherently crash with imports spiking.

Sec Bessent said “neither side wants to decouple”. Say what?!?

    1) how does this bring manufacturing jobs to US?
    2) how does this stop fentanyl?
    3) how does this hold China accountable for IP theft?
    4) how does this hold China accountable for currency manipulation?
    5) how does this curb China with anti-dumping provisions?

So after all of Trump's laughable trade nonsense, all we're really left with is a fake agreement with the UK, and hopefully nothing stupid with China after 90 days.

Is the stable genius Trump still going to make all Americans rich through tariffs?

Hopefully we're still making tons of money off of Zimbabwe and the island with all of the penguins.

Create a crisis, undo what you did to claim victory. Repeat. The details will be interesting to see if there was a net gain.

    What did we “win”?

Seems like we are going to do this shit every 90 days. Hopefully no more 145% tariffs nonsense. Funny thing is China may now temporarily have less tariffs than other Asian countries? For what?

Pains me? This makes me joyful; the net effect, for 90 days at least, is basically close to Trump just going away. Unfortunately, that's as close to a win as America gets these days; Trump not wrecking things.

Also, I admire the cerebral quality of all your postings. Have you ever tried enhancing them with informative GIFs?
