Yes - 12 episodes to each season. Currently 21 available to stream RN on Disney.

A season 1 rewatch is very, very worth the time.

The show clips right along. Not a lot of pauses for plot summaries for us dummies.

Plus evoking emergency powers when no emergency exists to side step the law. Plus baiting groups into action then labelling them terrorists. Plus extracting resources with no regard for environment or life at all. Plus using the media to blatantly lie. Plus ..

Yeah I think I'm gonna start referring to Trump as President Palpatine.

    I gave in.

Yes, I was talking about S1. In my mind he was in the “hard labor” prison much more than I recalled.

    S2 lined up.

Waiting for the entire season to be released. I have no patience for weekly waiting.

OT: Disney should allow someone to produce Splinter of the Mind’s Eye and Thrawn Trilogy… and get out of the way.

They've been dropping 3 at a time which is righteous.

I’d watch it except for I’m not going to sign up for Disney.

Compared to a lot of stuff it is, but that is part of its appeal. There is a lot going on underneath, which becomes more pronounced and urgent as the series goes on.
And given that you know where it ends in Rogue 1 and ANH, it’s great canon for the overall story and some characters who didn’t get much later on in Cassian and Mon Mothma. It also shows a completely different side of life in that cinematic universe, which for nerds like me is pretty cool. It’s the side without Darth Vader, the force, light sabres etc, but every day struggles against oppression.
Having said that, it’s not for everyone, it’s very different than every other SW property.

That is an interesting strategy by Disney+. I wonder if they have been testing engagement strategies to keep people longer on their subscriptions and overlapping billing periods.

OT: By comparison… The Acolyte was terrible — it was a mosh pit of poor plot arc, poor acting, and an attempt to make a Star Wars galaxy for all.

So I realized I hadn’t finished S1. Guess that’s why I was stuck in Lego Land. At the funeral scene now. Had to pause but su-in’s up!

I’ve been digging it. Haven’t liked any of the Star Wars stuff since Rogue One.

Skeleton crew is pretty good for what it was trying to be, imo

I think Disney wants to be rid of it TBH, so they can go back to making mindless kid shit with the Star Wars IP

You sure there's going to be 12? 9 made a pretty clear ending point to draw the conclusion to Rogue 1.

The ending of the show is supposed to lead to the opening scene of Rogue 1.
