But the democrats did force their presidential candidate to resign (later than they should have to be fair) which is more than can be said of republicans who continue to support anything and everything Donald Trump does - including through two impeachment trials - which I can reasonably assume you would have supported removal if it had been a democrat and I would have as well.
There was Mitch McConnell for one. Or how about in a non-medical context George Santos that Republicans refused to remove because of votes? Also, the idea of the media covering is just asinine. Where do think all the reports about Biden and Feinstein came from? The same media as Santos and McConnell.
I liked the dude, agreed with him more than most big timer pols. But that stroke baked his cake. There's no shame in that, strokes are merciless. He did his last heroic deed by hanging in long enough to keep that seat away from an even crazier R that doesn't even have a stroke excuse. Gotstago.
Like I said before, those reports only came out once those two became so bad that the lies could not be perpetrated any longer. Anyone, from any side, or anywhere who dared mention their impairment excoriated and called all kinds of names. It was a joke after the election to watch the media start to admit Biden’s mental decline after covering it up for over four years. The question really should be; what did they juice Biden up with for the debates in 2020? The only time we saw him up that late after that was reading the prompter at the SOTU speeches and the disaster in June.
Biden was too old the first time. Everyone new it then, he just wasn’t orange. Biden’s hubris and lack of truth telling advisors sunk his ship too late in the process. He shouldn’t have run. Everyone knew. Hence, another terrible candidate. Who knows if the results would have changed of not.
Santos was never legit. His crimes went back to 2008. He ran for Congress in 2020. Finally won in 2022. Whoever ran cover for him did it for over a decade. McC is STILL a Senator, TODAY. Despite both freezing on the spot and also not being able to stand. A fainting goat, but still voting for brainwormed chemtrail huffers and cosplay Fortnight Barbies. Def more important to “investigate” the dude who left us in perfectly fine shape.
Most republicans, and many near all independents ( outside Kentucky) wanted the turtle gone years ago.
I equate trumps impeachments (certainly the ridiculous second one) the same way I viewed the Clinton impeachment; political theater. Make that Bad Political Theater. I never wanted Clinton impeached. It was foolish and that’s when I went independent. No man on earth could have faulted Bill for cheating on Hillary.
Sounds like the same guy he’s always been. Media narrative on him seems to be changing though. Gee, I can’t figure this one out.
It's a bit of a mess, with everything going on from health issues to missing votes and those strange moments that keep happening. I’ve seen some reports talking about concerns from his staff, and it’s worrying. It’s tough, especially when someone might have the political savvy but struggles with personal health and decision-making.
Living in DC, I do not pay attention to what the staffers say. There is a whole different Eco-system/economy on Capital Hill that they have to survive in and that creates strange incentives. When other Members/Senators actually start alluding to it or actually going on the record about it, is when I start paying attention.
