Now you know why the left leaning writers of the Star Trek series, in all of its various iterations, mentioned that TV will die off... a medium of entertainment that faded away. Lol... those prophetic Lefties.
Are all of these “sanctioned” by the federal government like “Black History Month”? Or, are the “recognition months” on the AI generated list pretty much observed by private groups? I’m of Scottish heritage and I’ve never heard of any US government entity recognizing or endorsing any Scottish or Gaelic event. Every event I’ve attended is sponsored by a private entity. St Patty’s day is a religious celebration that has been commercialized much like Easter and Christmas. BTW, does anyone remember which US president first “recognized” Black History Month?
So there is no White History or White Heritage month because "whiteness" isn't supposed to be celebrated
Obviously liberals won't be happy until whites are refugees in their own countries. The New York Times started calling for a "racial reckoning" after George Floyd's death in May 2020. Cops backed off enforcing the law and 25,000+ extra blacks were killed by homicide or traffic accidents over the next 3 years. Why did the NY Times start capitalizing Black but not white? To show which group was superior and who was inferior. Core Americans are largely mild mannered whites who are mostly Republicans. The fringe groups/minorities of the Democrat Party are more hateful and largely don't like each other. To hold these fringe groups together they are taught to hate whites and think of themselves as victims of white oppression.
Didn't study each one, but here's the first one listed and the Presidential Proclamation for it (Irish-American Heritage Month). Irish-American Heritage Month, 2025
Nice, thanks. Interesting …. some 4-5 decades after Black History month was recognized by the federal government, Trump finally recognizes the Irish-American. I think this may provide some credence to the assertion in the OP.
Trump didn't start it. Research Guides: Irish-American Heritage Month: A Commemorative Observances Legal Research Guide: History and Overview Here's one from Obama, for example: Presidential Proclamation -- Irish-American Heritage Month, 2016 As we celebrate Irish-American Heritage Month, we recognize the Irish people's contributions to our country's dynamism, and we reaffirm the friendship and family ties between our two nations. For centuries, sons and daughters of Erin have come to America's shores, adding to our rich vibrancy and putting their full hearts into everything they do. From building our country's cities as preeminent architects and earnest laborers to building our national character as people of great joy and cherished culture, Irish Americans have endured intolerance and discrimination to find a place for themselves and their children here in the United States. While remembering the great Irish Americans of the past, we celebrate what forms the foundation of the lasting Irish-American story -- a shared embrace of hard work and humility, fairness and dignity, and a mutual quest to secure a freer and more peaceful future. *** NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 2016 as Irish-American Heritage Month. I call upon all Americans to observe this month with appropriate ceremonies, activities, and programs. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-ninth day of February, in the year of our Lord two thousand sixteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fortieth. BARACK OBAMA
Wow. You truly just have nothing at this point, right? Politicizing Star Trek? Where the Hell did that come from?
Or maybe it's because "whiteness" applies to all or most of those groups and is extremely vague. Like "Hispanic" which seems to group by race on the basis of . . . language? There was a time when we viewed Italians the exact same way we do Central American immigrants. Now we make epic movies about them and consider them white. We'll be doing the same with Mexicans before the end of the century (and they already consider themselves white).
White persecution must stop!! “Any of you that have ever felt stepped on, left out, picked on, put down, whether you think you're a nerd or not, why don't you just come down here and join us?” - Lewis Skolnick “We’ll take the *Negroes* and the *Chinese* but we don’t want the Irish!” - Olson Johnson.
LOL! Someone gave this a "winner". Just amazing that we are considered the same species. Because you guys are "something else". I'd be honest, but your protectors will ban me.
My MAGA friend indeed really believes this. I don’t think he’s ever felt personally picked on for his color, but he has said to me in complete earnestness that the only racism that remains in large supply in today’s US is that against white people. I think what he’s seeing is that liberals often complain in public about “old white men” ruling the world and things like this. Admittedly, it is much more socially acceptable to rib white peoples in public, but suggesting that this is the only kind of remaining racism is a remarkable claim.
Well I have never seen those mentioned at work. I saw black history month and some Asian American Pacific Islander month. There’s also a blacks in government group but no whites in government group
I always think this shit is crazy. We have pride month, but no straight month - does that mean there is a way on straight people? If there is I guess I missed it. Same with the war on white people. Has there been rhetorical and cultural pushback because of the dark heritage of Colonialism over the past few decades? Um... hell yeah - for good reason if you look back at history. But I don't think that means there is a "war" on white people. Also what is whiteness? I'm white - my family has pride for our American and sometimes our European heritage, but we don't just sit back and celebrate our "whiteness."
Tell us again what a "core American" is? I couldn't quite decipher through your generalizations and fabrications. Do you mean to say a descendant of indigenous or enslaved peoples is not a core American? It was "mild-mannered whites" who promoted slavery and Jim Crow laws, marched native Americans on the Trail of Tears, and lynched Mexican Americans in Texas for well over 50 years. It is "mild-mannered whites" who stand idly by when people are being singled out for discrimination and abuse. Your bias is so great you can't understand that it's the actions of a group that are objectionable. The so-called libbies -Democrats - fringe groups as you labelled them do not hate whites. If you are so confident in the good intentions of White America, then surely you won't mind when their atrocities inflicted on others are pointed out. smh
