Regarding effete snobbery, Trump could have installed a chiropractor, as Health Czar, and far, FAR fewer would have died in 2020.

That makes her qualified to check you pulse, not lead the medical profession in the US. She has the lowest level of education one can attain to become a doctor and almost no experience.

Compare to the current Surgeon General.

Dr. Murthy received his bachelor of arts degree from Harvard, his masters in business administration from the Yale School of Management, and his MD from the Yale School of Medicine. A renowned physician, research scientist, entrepreneur, and author of the bestselling book Together: The Healing Power of Human Connection in a Sometimes Lonely World.

Prior to his tenure as Surgeon General, Dr. Murthy co-founded VISIONS, a global HIV/AIDS education organization; the Swasthya Project, a rural health partnership that trained women in South India to become community health workers and educators; TrialNetworks, a technology company dedicated to improving collaboration and efficiency in clinical trials; and Doctors for America, a nonprofit mobilizing physicians and medical students to improve access to affordable care. His scientific research has focused on vaccine development and the participation of women and minorities in clinical trials. And as an internal medicine doctor at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Murthy cared for thousands of patients over the years and trained undergraduates, medical students, and medical residents. It is a free world and we have free speech so you have every right to think how terrible trump is and how terrible his picks are. However, they are HIS picks to make and no matter how bad you and the lib media think they are- almost all of them will get approved. If his picks turn out to be overmatched it will be on him and will be his problem to deal with.

People with arts degrees aren’t killing hundreds of thousands a year.

I would agree that she is unqualified to be surgeon general. Like a number of Trump's nominees her primary qualification was that she looked good on Fox News and that she agreed with Trump on some policy issues. Trump's nominees for multiple cabinet and subcabinet can be distinguished from the nominees of virtually every other president and even Trump himself during his first term by their lack of significant management experience and for a number of positions subject matter expertise.

No. It will be on us that want to live in a safe, secure, country with administrative efforts to encourage a knowledgeable and healthy society. trump has all he needs and an entire medical team to see to his every need. The rest of us prefer to have people who know whats what and whose qualifications exceed looking good on TV. Please compare and contrast the resumes of the current job holders posted by City to those who trump has proposed to replace them = 1927 NY Yankees vs Mighty Mights T-Ball Tigers.

It’s actually not a free world but wouldn’t that be nice?

You are all over Napier for his unimportant picks as assistants but are willing to see how the country runs with clearly unqualified lunatics in key roles? Whatever. I am thoroughly entertained at this debacle of an administration.

My approach too. Nothing we can do about it so might as well sit back and enjoy the disaster. In 2 years, hopefully we get a Dem congress and in 4 years a Dem president. Til then, I'll be laughing at this Keystone Kops administration. Speaking of cops, Trump just announced he wants Kash Patel to head the FBI. Hilarious!

She was withdrawn (as they are claiming that she made them think she got a Med Degree from Arkansas, not the Caribbean) in favor of...a "wellness influencer" who will sell you "supplements" while talking about her spirit guides and how she likes to talk to trees. It should be noted that she did not finish her residency and apparently has no medical license.

Trump pulls surgeon general pick following Laura Loomer complaints

He did this at the urging of Laura Loomer, who gets to decide who the Surgeon General is, apparently.

    Totally normal stuff.

Can we get pics so we can decide whether or not this is a good pick?

Dr Casey Means has impeccable MAHA credentials. A great pick (like RFK Jr).

Maybe you could explain a little bit about what the guy is claiming, rather than just post a vague tweet.

The "vague tweet" is a "thread" as I posted. If you press the blue "Show more" in the tweet the other tweets are exposed and you can scroll through them.

Bottom line: The food companies have exploited a legal loophole and the FDA has allowed them to get away with having 10,000 approved additives they can put in our food. Europe has 400 approved additives. Some of the additives come from the petroleum industry. Some increase appetite but have no or negative health benefits, which can lead to people being obese and malnourished. Dr Casey Means is also concerned about our food supply (especially the pesticides sprayed on our foods). Seems like MAHA will do some good

I'm the inventor of the phrase, "A fool and his laughter are not easily separated."

Nice looking family you have in your profile photo. Do you think Bobby K and MAHA initiatives
    will make them less healthy?

I know that we approve additives that Europe does not. Don't know about that number.
Just to be clear, you want more federal regulation?
