Ran across this article and it seems kind of crazy. The stroke, not taking his meds, frequent medical bouts, conspiracy theories and paranoia, more missed votes than any other senator, excessive consternation over how to vote, speeding and crashing causing his wife to break her back, etc.

It’s an interesting dichotomy of someone that probably understands the current political environment better than anyone but simultaneously doesn’t appear fit to serve.

Not from an approved site but I did see a similar article on a different site.

I included a second link because, while the first article I read seemed well sourced and even-handed, I hadn’t heard of it before. Turns out neither source is on the approved list. doh! I added two more to the OP to keep in line with the rules so there’s a smorgasbord of links all saying the same thing now.

Post stroke dimentia turned him into a dangerous self-destructive asshole with some simplistic MAGA tendencies?

    That sort of lines up!

I’m guessing, in addition to lost verbal understanding and the frustration that comes from that (certainly a strain on mental health), most likely the stroke damaged his brain’s inhibition ability. Sometimes a similar phenomenon happens to elderly Alzheimer’s folks who start yelling crazy racist stuff at their nurses. In a way it’s probably revealing their true selves.

Not everyone is cut out for the stress of being a member of the Senate. As more of these stories come out, it becomes more clear that Fetterman needs to resign - for his own health and for the sake of the Senate. (Embedded story is from the AP)

His former chief of staff in 2024 said Fetterman is on a bad trajectory. Certainly seems like it.

You guys are reading way too far into this. It’s actually very simple. Fetterman went rogue, Dems no longer have use for him so he must be destroyed.

He is far more coherent and agile now than in his last election. He was a stumbling, bumbling, mumbling shell of a fully functioning man. To you guys he was fine then, but impaired now. WTF????

Just like Biden, he was fine until he wasn’t needed or became a liability

It's funny, Diane Feinstein was okay to stay in the Senate until she died but Fetterman has to go since he voted with Trump a time or two.

It must be hard watching a political party view one of their own as incapable of serving. I bet it really messes with your mind

It’s not my party but these two comments are complete BS. Fetterman just had his stroke before the election so there was the promise of recovery. He did recover but then has started to devolve. And these concerns haven’t just manifested. His Chief of Staff made his concerns known last year. Six of his staffers quit due to conflicts, and just this week he caused another staffer to break down in tears in a public hallway due to his outburst. And Democrats did publicly call for Feinstein to resign before she died.

Fetterman’s unwavering support of Israel is what is causing this. There is nothing to suggest his medical condition has gotten worse. Like a lot of stroke victims, he seems to have recovered.

Where these comments are coming from are his very pro Palestinian staffers and others on the Left that are extremely displeased about his support to Israel. They are trying to signal that Fetterman needs to be primaried and they will give challengers all kinds of dirt on him.

I dont see 'the party' pushing out Fetterman rn, so what's the difference? This information is coming from ex-staffers and other people around him, much like all the stuff about Feinstein. This is people putting pressure on the party to act because they arent - they like Fetterman, probably even more now since hes punching left! He's a Dem consultant's dream who think "woke" is a problem for them.
