I cannot agree with this.
Taylor is an elite outfielder. Why would CTW make her learn a new position?
Others can play 1st base and be successful. If you want to move an outfielder to first, how about McClellan?

Your point is certainly valid and I wouldn't dispute it. However, at least at some point in time Tim was considering just that....Taylor at first....he said so.

 

I can see Taylor taking over Kendra’s spot in centerfield. 21 for 27!

 

Would think Thomas is the heir apparent in CF.

 

I agree with this. To my eye, Mia would be even better at 1B than middle infield.

 

I have said it before and I will say it again, Thomas has never EVER impressed me as the hitting coach. The offense under him has never been able to hit a drop ball/changeup pitcher and they never adjust. He never was able to improve the players at the plate behind the Lorenz class and was never able to recruit at a high level until recently. If we see anyone that has a heavy changeup or drop ball pitcher we won't advance past supers.

2018 - I have been saying this for 6 years. However, CTW will not change or fire his BFF/College Roommate and handpicked successor. I have given up worrying about it. It is what it is and will continue to be, sigh.

 

Notexgator I agree, when he let go of Borsch he should have let go of Thomas also but I don't think he will. However, I do not think Thomas is his successor, I think Enea is. I would LOVE for Lorenz to come in and be the hitting coach tbh.

I chat will all opposing teams coaches as we sit right behind the visitors on deck circle and her words, not mine about their NIL number. As to our NIL fund, we are members of the Gator Softball Support Group.

I have just checked out something that to me is interesting about CTW. Since they lost coach Sharonda McDonald in 2017 and then Jennifer Rocha in 2018 every true assistant coach he has hired, their coaching career was heading in a negitave direction until he hired Francesca Enea when the new assistant coach posion was created last year. That suggest to me he is a big believer in last chances.Francesca was a move in a different direction.

 

Not hard to recruit when you have Tim’s resume/trophy case and this ridiculous facility. Striklin turning the corner with me.

 

Everybody was fine with Thomas last year..... id argue that he ahs in flat made progress with this lineup. Our hitting was terrible in 18,19,20. Until we started getting these recruits. Reagen has improved greatly under him . Mia has made the huge jump this year. Ava has improved. And jsut keep going. They have all spoken highly of him so I don't know. Maybe it's jsut the mental approach that needs to change to that type of pitching.

 

Nope. Tim publicly said the Francesca is being groomed to take over whenever Tim hangs it up. He also said the administration knows this and approves.

I don't think it is a given. Could be Townsen. Could just as well be Taylor.
