Something about the American Pledge of Allegiance doesn't sit well with me. I'm okay with most of it until it reaches the end, "liberty and justice for all." That's fine until you consider that other people's liberty infringes on your right to exist. That "justice for all" includes people who don't deserve to be here in the first place. Can we come up with some changes to this last line so that it aligns with the direction we think the country should be taking and eliminate this woke ideology from one of our most important documents? - OP
Do people still say the pledge of allegiance? I remember doing that in school but that was a long time ago
You can take the community organizer out of the community, but he is still just a community agitator at heart... just on a bigger scale. I remember Obama getting mad with CEOs that didn't agree with his dictates on how they did business in a non-political way. He made every corporation get political in one way or another. His fundamental change was nothing more than hatred of our nation's exceptionalism.
Milton Berle used to joke, “Anytime somebody orders a corned beef sandwich on white bread with mayonnaise, somewhere in the world, a Jew dies.”
Under the guise of "diversity" there is a concerted effort to eliminate the diversity represented by European and English nations. It's not ironic.
Because we desperately need distractions from the complete and utter failings of their dear leader. The funny part is that it's literally all they have now and it's so obvious with pathetic posts like this. Oh, okay dude. We'll worry about the mythical "war on whiteness" instead of the dumpster fire that is the Trump Administration.
Do some of you guys really feel picked on, attacked, endangered …. Because you’re white? Or is it just something to complain about?
To be fair, why would one even waste effort responding to the OP? That was my first impression. Wow! That's a lot of effort to respond to what amounts to unhinged nonsense. And what is a clear deflection from. . . let's just call them "more relevant current events."
That last part. Don't look at the dumpster fire. . . . There's a War on Whiteness!!!! Heavens to Betsy's. Clutch your pearls!!! And, first and foremost, don't pay attention to the tanking economy.
I was at a weird event (business) where they did that. Sorry, but I didn't participate. Felt weird. Something I literally haven't done since I was a child. Like going with Lee Greenwood instead of the actual anthem. WTF? Our anthem is one of the best in the world.
Yeah, but given what's "actually" in the news these days, does the timing of this spate of anti-woke nonsense not seem a little suspicious? I mean, I get it. Woke is all MAGA has and all it will ever have. But the top 5 threads on this site are all about "woke" issues. Seems more than a little suspicious. Actually, openly pathetic is the term I was thinking of. Imagine how bad the "woke crisis" is going to get when inflation hits double digits.
I asked AI for counter-examples because I didn't want to look them up.
