The only thing 'good' about it is less bodies for the US war machine

Lets be honest. The rampant bigotry affects very few people. However, I am sure we are not far from:

"expressing a false 'gender identity' divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service "

    turns into

"expressing a false 'political opinion' divergent from the state cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service "

    or

"expressing false 'religious ideas' divergent from the state cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service "

This is HUGE news!! Groundbreaking! Now if he can just correct the stock market crapout that he caused, and get people to stop eating the dogs.

Those individuals will get their day in court. This is just a ruling to say the Trump Admin can start the process to discharge them.

Seeing as some Sailors who were discharged for refusing the COVID vaccine, had the DoD settle with them on their lawsuit, there is a path forward for these service members.

There's also a track record of the current regime of ignoring court orders that they don't like. Once those trans members are discharged that will be it for them regardless of what a court says.

So you think the DoD will defy a direct order from the SCOTUS to re-instate previously discharged members?

Knowing who is in charge I have no reason to believe otherwise

I think this is the right decision, even if I disagree with the result. The military needs hard lined rules, IMO. Rules that affect morale and the ability to be fully focused and prepared. If there is anything that misaligns with the objective, it needs to be eliminated.
