Hamas has agreed to many deals - including releasing all the hostages, and the Israelis reject or violate them every time. They are just doing this for public consumption in the US - "see we tried." They want to do their ethnic cleansing. And no US president is going to push back slightly on them.
Also, they've been attacking Gaza for at least a month now after the cease fire, so they are already doing it. This is simply about occupying territory indefinitely.
I'm pretty sure that Israel has a good plan to end all of this, and to prevent further terrorist attacks in the future. All of the destruction and civilian deaths will be worth it in the end. I've been saying this for 18 months.
You glossed over the fact they are holding literal hostages. As I always say in Israel vs fill-in-the-blank, there are no good guys in this. Just various levels of shit
They're going to "occupy" Gaza? Something the Leftists are very familiar with. Kidnapped people should be returned immediately without conditions. Hamas is a known terrorist organization, and they must be obliterated out of existence. Let us know when they are with Allah.
How did I gloss over it? The fact is the right-wing of Bibi's government doesn't want a deal, and the governing coalition would collapse if one were made. Its really that simple, and there is no one that is going to push Israel to make one. This could have ended after the ceasefire, but Israel resumed their bombing.
They take so many, some die, some are tortured and/or raped, some are exchanged for Israeli hostages. If you recall some of those exchange rates are rather lopsided, because the Israelis have so many prisoners. Some of their most vicious citizens even rioted and stormed a prison when some IDF soldiers were arrested for raping detainees. You can say there are no "good guys" and that may be true, but only one side is engaged in ethnic cleansing and has the means to carry it out. And of course, the US government is only arming one of the bad guys and considers them an 'ally.'
Of course not, the Israeli government thinks just being Palestinian is a crime and makes you Hamas. Their American supporters seem to agree.
How long has the same crap been happening? Decades? There is no "right side" if everyone is wrong and hates the others more than they love themselves. Wash, rinse, repeat.
People who post stuff like this always fail to mention that we as US taxpayers financially and militarily support one of the "wrong" sides.
