Strange, D1 guys rank Oregon 6th this week in poll, yet outside of T16 in projections... It cant be both
I understand, this is likely a reach, but if we go 6 and 3 over the last 9 SEC game and end with 6 series win, any chance we host? 7 and 2?
The answers to two different questions can be different. D1 ranking: D1 employees' own opinions of the teams. Projection: what D1 employees think the selection committee will do.
Maybe, but Ive watched the live feed of them seeding field for 3 weeks now,, it sounds like what they think not what think committe will do. Fitt, Rodgers, Ethridge(only one worth a hoot) debate the teams as they seed them,,no "i think committee will put them here" Different crew for poll? possibly They also dropped their 11th seed last week to 14th this week for going 4-1..half their top 8 this week lost weekend series. so consider the source(s) I guess. Good thing their guesses are as useless as rest of ours..lol I doubt theres ever been a top 6 in human polls not host unless facilities prevented it
yes if win last 3 series . most likely host IMO. could depend on what rest of sec does, & or how many sec they will 'let host' My guess is 8 max. The at Texas series win would clinch it IMO
2025 D1Baseball Field Of 64: April 30 • D1Baseball FSU / Troy / UF/ Bethune-Cookman... and @ Auburn or maybe @SoMiss or vs./@ Miami in the Super if we pull the upset. Is there a button I can press for "screw the rest of the year, we'll take it"?
2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament Bracket: Projected Field Of 64 (April 30) This one More reflective of last weeks chaos IMO Actually punished oned that lost, and rewarded ones that didnt.. Noles went from 6 to 3 at D1?? lol why
Updated Boyd's World Needs Report: FLORIDA: 3 more wins for Top 16 5 more wins for Top 8 (interestingly, Boyd has us at 14 RPI and Warren at 15; official NCAA has us at 15, per Boyd: "The differences are that I don't track tie games, and that I can't always tell what will be called a neutral-site game versus an off-site home game for one team.") Will Tennessee (14) get a host? 5 more wins for Top 16 RPI 6 more wins for Top 8 RPI Finish with (Indiana State) Vanderbilt, (Belmont) @ Arkansas Will Ole Miss (17) get a host? 5 more wins for Top 16 RPI 7 more wins for Top 8 RPI Finish with @ State, (UT-Martin) Auburn Will Mississippi State (33) make the field? 5 more wins for Top 45 RPI 6 more wins for Top 32 RPI Finish with Ole Miss, (North Alabama) @ Missouri Will Texas A&M (35) make the field? 4 more wins for Top 45 RPI 5 more wins for Top 32 RPI Finish with (@ Houston) Missouri, @ Georgia Will Kentucky (41) make the field 3 more wins for Top 45 RPI 5 more wins for Top 32 RPI Finish with Oklahoma, (Northern Ky) @ Vanderbilt Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
^^ yes on all to make field.. I hear media really like sec.. *UK needs to win last 2 series. only 3-5 in series, so most likely no on them w/ inflated rpi Vols to host?? up to them.. Vandy Ark to finish.. 3-3 i say yes OM to host.. I had them hosting last week(most didnt) not sure this week. Probably need to win last 2 series. AU top 8? Or what do they need to do to stay T8 might be better question. The 2 sweeps at #1 & #2 seem to be only bad mark. But won other 6, & no Mizz. Most T25 wins in country also I heard.
Auburn is 3 for top 8, 1 for top 16. 2nd most Q1 wins, and I believe they have the most Top 15 RPI wins. Only 2 triples allowed in conference play. They're sitting pretty for a Top 8. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Dont tell D1 that, youll confuse them.. And now Im trying to recall the 2 triples...lol. think Tex had 1
Top 40 RPI SEC teams that have been left out since A&M and Missouri joined the conference (2013): 2015: Alabama (12-18, 32-28, 27) 2013: Auburn (13-17, 33-23, 30) 2017: South Carolina (13-17, 35-25, 31) 2013: Kentucky (11-19, 30-25, 31) 2019: Missouri (13-16, 34-22, 32) 2018: Kentucky (13-17, 34-22, 32) 2017: Ole Miss (14-16, 32-25, 38) 2021: Georgia (13-17, 31-25, 40) Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Auburn is a weird case this season. 6-2 series record with a sweep of LSU yet 13-11 league record. With the remaining schedule could end up 8-2 in series and still be 17-13/18-12.
Swept twice (at top 2 rpi).. and only got 1 sweep..so still neg 3 in those 3 series...toughest sec schedule last I heard. Also only sec team to win 8 of last 10 sec series, dating back to last year..irrelevant. but figured I'd mention..
My guess at host this week (rpi) 1. Texas(2) Still 2 clear in best conf 2. Ark(5) 3. FSU(6) Dont really think this good.but. maybe they are 4. UGa(1) 5 Aub(4) 5-1 v next 2 6. LSU(8) 7. Vandy(3) 8. UNC(9) best in acc IMO 9. Clem(7) 10. UCLA(11) 11. Org St(10) 12. Coastal(12) 13. Vols(14) 14. WVU(20) 3 game lead in B12 15. Irvine(18) no way finish T20 rpi w/ remaaining sched, but could get nod for another west site 16. Oregon(24) I cant have OSU host & not Org(4-0 v beavs) Next4 TCU(16) DBU(19) Arz(23) Another sec..lol bama(13) , rebs(17), OU(22) , UF(15) if get to 14/15 sec Ws
Started sec 1-9,, but finished w/ series wins over uf & ark. 1 & done (bama) in sect(probably in if win)
While D1 Baseball doesn't have Florida in its Top 25, they do have us #16 in RPI, #6 SOS. Warren Nolan has us #15 RPI, #5 SOS, with an ELO ranking of #6.
