Movies are one of the things we have a huge trade surplus in, its completely the opposite of the rationale for the other tariffs, the guy is just the stupidest man ever to be president, there's nothing else to it

How do you even tariff movies? Have Mr. govt tax collector at the box office? I’m sure the theater operators will love this idea. Nevermind all the complexity with movies shooting on location or in several countries.

My CEO said he is hearing the tariffs will resolve in the next two weeks but I dont think Trump knows what's going on so I dont know how my boss thinks someone else would know. Hope someone is right. It's a total mess right now.

 

We've added tariffs on 100+ countries. You couldn't resolve that in 2 weeks even if we actually had competency in the WH.

I assumed he meant the 125% China tariffs. Companies can pass on 10% cost increases but the China one is a barrier to doing business.

 

10% is a big deal to small businesses. There's a photographer I follow on youtube who also has a small business which requires him to import goods from China. During this video he called his import broker for an update on tariffs. During this portion of the call he talks to the broker about the 10% and the broker mentions how it is hurting some businesses.

 

do you think that maybe insufficient demand and decrease in rail demand is due to slowing economy brought on by tariffs and the surrounding uncertainty???
