The ONLY thing I can come up with is he fell in love with the idea he was a QB whisperer and wanted to prove he could mold a QB, regardless of Trask being the better choice. That's all I have.

 

Trask also appeared to have taken the starting role twice only to get injured in practice the following week.

This is what I never understood. How awkward do you have to be, to not be as relatable as those guys.

 

He doesn't want any of mine either, he screws with her from the other side of the fence. The other night she was going bonkers and I walked out all I could see was eyes dancing in the woods. It didn't move like a dog, too fast for a opossum, I thought it was a racoon. My pup went further down the fence line, I guess to look from a different angle and it came back into the yard, then ran back out when the dog came back. Then it started dancing around by the gate, so I walked over there trying to figure out what it was. When I walked over it ran over to the neighbors yard and started barking, I was like WTF? I still didn't know what it was at this point, but realized it wasn't a racoon and was fairly certain it wasn't a dog. Went back inside to google if foxes bark and sure enough they do. A couple nights later, at dusk, I saw him in the yard. My pup quickly gave chase and that little fugger ran right to the other side of the fence and started dancing and barking. It ran away when I walked over there, but I saw it this time and it was definitely a fox. I'd never heard one bark before. My dog is not a fan. She took down a full grown cow at the farm not long ago, so I don't think the fox wants any part of her. It's having a helluva time toying with her from the other side of the fence though. She is not invited back the farm unless she's on a leash.

 

Probably never catch that fox. We use to trap em when i was a kid. Bigtime nuisance to chickens.

 

I think you're underestimating Fisher and Smart. They've proven throughout their career they're excellent recruiters.

LOL. Mac was the epitome of awkward. DM’s lack of top 5 recruiting here was due primarily to the inability to pay top dollar for the top recruits while the gumps, mutts and others were. Toxic assistants also didn’t help with the recruiting of the guys below the elite ones. I sure wish we had him running his O and calling plays here. Especially with Lagway at QB.

 

If Mullen was here Lgway would be at Georgia/USC/TAMU. Mullen did not have the humility to accept he needed talent and recruit talent.

 

SMH. BTW, how many great coaches have “humility”?

 

I’d rather have a great game day coach than a great recruiter. Especially if I had a recruiting organization like the gumps.

 

You never know if someone has humility until you actually meet them. Ive been surprised many times.

Also wasn’t very good at evaluating defensive coordinators. Or able to keep a handle on the locker room.
