Eh Russia is also somewhat responsible for the war since they invaded Poland too. And their core competency was making sure as many of their own died as possible.
The build up and start to major events and wars is what propels them forward. The Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact was extremely important in setting WW2 off
Ok, the Soviets were fighting the Japanese before Molotov-Ribbentrop. And the Japanese were in China before the invasion of Poland. Hitler had already annexed Austria and part of Czechoslovakia (and had designs on Poland before the MR pact). Is it just one event in Europe that began WWII?
I realize anti-communism has brain-poisoned Americans, but Russia's contribution to the war was also a little more than mindless human wave attacks ... that's literally just regurgitating Nazi propaganda from the war. They became better at warfare than the Wehrmacht, they even built superior tanks and crushed them in their style of war too - the Battle of Kursk. The Eastern Front was nasty, a lot of people died, German and Russian (and the nationalities that served with them).
Why do you think this has anything to do with America First. Are you really that easily fooled? Not everyone who thinks Trump is an idiot is a lib. We're just not easily fooled.
Similar to “Indigenous people’s day” vs “Columbus Day”, I don’t think “Victory Day for World War II” rolls of the tongue compared to Veterans Day. I wasn’t even aware of any effort to rename Veterans Day. Not even sure how this makes sense for moron culture warriors. With “indigenous people’s day” it’s obvious. The libs raise historical doubts w/ Columbus and want to acknowledge someone else. Culture warriors of course can’t stand that “someone else”. On this one Trump wants to take away acknowledging… Veterans. Uhhh…. okay.
Well it makes sense in the same way Canada does not celebrate July 4th. Canada celebrates their own independence on July 1st. I’m sure they acknowledge July 4th (just as we acknowledge VE Day), but it’s not a national holiday for them. VE Day is more of a European centric date.
