No Bill - we fear that they won't work. This isn't a game and there are real world ramifications for idiotic policies into which he has put almost no thought or planning. We deserve better as a country from our leadership.
They didn't work the first time. Remember when we had to bail out the farmers last time around? Now we've got a guy pushing tariffs because of what? Fentanyl? The border? Manufacturing? DEI? He doesn't even know

Even this commentary (waste of 1s and 0s on a server somewhere) supporting "policies" can't even say what the plan is. However, I am sure OP just grabbed the headline and paid no attention to the text. Don’t listen to the libertarian right or the “Never Trump” right or the hard left. What’s happening is we’re watching the most dramatic counterrevolution in our history. This is more fundamentally changing than even the Reagan revolution that rebooted the American economy and won the Cold War. And it’s even more—I don’t know—more fundamentally transformative than the Roosevelt first 100 days when he took the country hard left with the New Deal. And what do I mean by that? Everything is in play and we have no idea how it’s gonna happen—it’s going to turn out or what will happen. But it could be what Donald Trump called “a golden age.”
Not even Trump thinks his policies will work, which is why he turns into a Panican and walks them back after 1 or 2 days...

I am not a Democrat, but I am also anti-MAGA. But I can say with 100% certainty that I’m not scared his politicizes won’t work. I am hyper-skeptical that most will work, because they typically belie all semblance of common sense and run against prevailing expert analysis. I, admittedly, dread the ramifications of most of policies, because of the long-term negative worldwide consequences. But, I’m an American first, and if they succeed, I will be both grateful and perhaps even content.
Interesting. I viewed the OP as a discussion on his tariffs. You viewed it as a discussion on his authoritarianism. This shows the dramatic disparity in even the nebulous nature of what the OP was commenting in regarding Trump “policies” working.
