The Dems when false claims are levied against trump in trumped-up charges: "NO one is above the law."

The Dems when judges commit criminal acts and get arrested: "It's a Constitutional crisis."

It doesn’t matter, nor does it change what the Wisconsin judge did. Somebody got deported who was supposed to be deported. Happens hundreds, if not thousands of times each and every day. What does this have to do with a judge being arrested for obstruction of justice? Are you arguing that somehow the Trump admin set this judge up? Hence, the medication question.

It actually does matter because competence matters. You said that: "But over here in the real world, Bondi and Patel almost certainly had their ducks in a row before doing something like this." You are making the assumption Patel and Bondi are operating a highly competent level but their current record shows that is not the case, since they could not even properly handle the deportation of Garcia to anywhere but El Salvador. So they need to show that they are competent and posting a tweet about this case and then deleting it, is not a good sign that they are.

What the record shows so far is that the Trump Admin is more interested in making headlines and sending a message than conducting operations according to the letter of the law. They are happy to lose in court later on as long as the message they want sent is getting out today.

More plainly: are you arguing that because immigration officials may have made an error in the deportation of an El Salvadoran citizen, who was properly set to be deported, by sending him to the country he’s from, that it then must be true Bondi and Patel erred in having this judge arrested?

Your post reads just like every other TDS post here with the wild leaps.

There is no question about whether or not an error was made. An error was made. So the question is now whether it was made on purpose or by mistake. So is this Admin ignoring the ruling of a immigration court or just incompetent? Neither answer suggest we should have confidence in the Admin holding to the letter of the law.

How would you describe it? Incompetence or intentional?

BTW, I am of the opinion that if the information we have now about what happened with this judge is accurate, then there is a legitimate case against her. I'm just at the point now where I am waiting for all the information to come out before making a decision about it since this Admin seems to be more concerned about sending a message than dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's.

So you think the Admin deported someone to the wrong country to 'send a message'? How did they know ahead of time anyone would even notice? And now with the spotlight on them, you believe the Admin may have arrested a sitting judge to 'send another message'? It's either TDS or you're simply not that smart about these things. "If the information is accurate?" How would it not be accurate? There are probably no less than ten dozen cameras inside and outside of that courthouse. LOL, you think they could be making it up? Have you seen Bigfoot also?

So you think Garcia ended up in El Salvador due to incompetence, correct?

Moot point. The point you seem to be missing that it is 1,000,000,000 times easier for the Government to deport someone to the wrong country than it is for the Government to prosecute a sitting judge. In other words, if the "reward" is a message sent, as you claim, then the risk is 1,000,000,000 times higher for Bondi and Patel to 'send a message' by arresting a judge. (especially under false pretenses)

Cool, we agree that it is incompetence.

Let's see if the the initial allegations leveled against the judge hold up.

According to the AP article that Bill's link is based off of, here is the key quote:

The Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended a judge accused of helping a man evade immigration authorities, saying Tuesday that it is in the public interest to relieve her of her duties as she faces two federal charges.

The only reason that they relieved her was because the Federal Government has charged her and the court does not think a judge that is being prosecuted in Federal Court should be overhearing cases. If these charges go away, she will be instantly reinstated.

Interested to see what the state does re this case of a judge helping an illegal avoid ICE and possible deportation.

The lawyers should be removed from office and have their law license revoked.

Trump admin charges state judge for allegedly letting illegal alien evade capture | Fox News

A Massachusetts judge who allegedly let a twice-deported illegal immigrant evade ICE capture in 2018 is now facing the prospect of removal from the bench six years after federal charges were first filed against her and three years after those charges were dropped by the
    Biden administration.

By contrast, the Trump administration swiftly arrested a judge in Wisconsin for committing a similar offense just a week after the incident.

Judge Shelley Joseph of the Boston Municipal Court is facing charges of "willful judicial misconduct" for allowing illegal immigrant Jose Medina-Perez to slip out a side door to avoid ICE in April 2018, according to the Boston Herald.

She was originally charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice and obstruction of justice in 2018 by Trump-appointed then-U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling. However, in 2022, the Biden Department of Justice agreed to drop the charges against Joseph after she agreed to refer herself to the Massachusetts Commission on Judicial Conduct. That state commission did not file charges for disciplinary action against Joseph until late in 2024, with her hearing date set for June 9.
