Those dirty Japs just woke up angry one morning. And it doesn’t seem that nukes have dissuaded the US for a second. For over three years it’s been like, “Putin is a madman sitting astride the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet! Push! Push! PUSH!!!”
We're just getting a little payback for the U.S. pilots that Russia shot down during the Korean War. We did not ask Putin to put his foot in it and invade Ukraine--that's on him. And no, nobody with multiple working brain cells believes that the U.S. "forced" Russia to invade Ukraine, and nobody believes that Russia did it because Ukraine had Nazis (led by a Jewish president).
Zelenskyy believes that Russia may be about to invade Ukraine from Belarus, using military drills in Belarus as cover. Putin may be getting a little desperate and taking some chances to try to end this war favorably to Russia. Or he may be using it as a diversion. Knowing Trump, he would just brush it off and say that Putin was a military genius. Hopefully, the swampy land on the Belarus border is just as unpassable (from beavers damming up the rivers) as it was when the war started. If Russia gets bogged down in swampy land, they may get torn apart without air support. https://apnews.com/video/zelenskyy-...rus-as-cover-1e6c6e6f082c4b24a028449c2adef9b9
The Russians use the term Nazi differently than we do. We use it to mean the regime run by hitler that lost WWII. Russia uses it to mean enemy of Russia, more of a generic term.
I'm not sure you can make such a generalization. Lots of people use it generically as a term for authoritarian bad guys (Americans called Saddam the next Hitler), and the Russians also use it against the Ukrainians specifically because of some Ukrainian's collaboration with the Nazis (including forming SS units) against Russia during the war. Probably doesnt help that the West took in lots of the Nazi Ukrainians too (and Nazis in general - Operation Paperclip): John Demjanjuk - Wikipedia Yaroslav Hunka scandal - Wikipedia Memorials in Canada to Nazis and Nazi collaborators - Wikipedia
Yeah, I hear it used in the US to denote authoritarianism. That’s the underlying understanding of the Seinfeld Soup Nazi.
