That was hard to watch. I feel like there have been a couple of times where Keagan has started to tire towards the bottom of the 5th inning, we see it and note it's time for a change whilst we are still in it, but they wait just that bit longer to relieve her and it all goes to crap really quick. Makes me feel bad for the whole team, but especially the relief pitchers.
I doubt if anyone thought the Gators would be tied for 5th this late in the season. If they get swept by Oklahoms they could finish as low as 12th. Very disappointing.
Is it my imagination, but has our hitting been falling off when we face above average pitchers? it seems too many of our hitters Have a heck of a time with change ups. Also it might be time to move shoemaker further back in the lineup.
Trying to salvage one win isn’t the Gator way, nor CTWs or this teams way but they absolutely need to do some soul searching. I’m disgusted in this moment but they’ll bounce back, they have no choice.
Think how disappointed the team is..they are the ones that put in all that time with practices and so forth. .They have a lot invested..I am sure they are more upset and disappointed than we the fans are..I will continue to support them..win or lose.
Shumaker was on fire the first half of the season and pretty much carried the team to victory. Now that she has cooled off and even slumped for a while it’s left a hole in the top of the lineup. The other top five hitters have hit well but not like Taylor who hit like she was from another planet!
We are imo far to slow when it comes to making adjustments in game in the batters box in game. I f the game plan is great and the opposition obliges then the offense rolls. If the opposition takes us out of plan A we don’t seem to have plan B.
We’re still probably one of the best 8 teams in the country and we still have a strong chance of getting to the WCWS again, but we gotta hope we avoid the likes of Jordy Bahl or Nijaree Canady in a Super Regional matchup.
Ten thousand more times upset than us. At what point did I say I was the one putting in the practice and making all those sacrifices? And at what point did I say that I was going to stop believing in them? This was a shitty loss, the players wearing Gators across their chest should be furious with this result. Unlike you softball is my first love. I’ll support them to the end but they need to look in the mirror, each and every player and decide what kind of season they want.
This team wasn’t built for people who cherish their non grey hairs. They will grey you up good but that payoff for your devotion. It’s a natty
Nebraska is more than likely not hosting a regional and will be on the road. Texas Tech is on the hosting bubble and don't really seem being seeded higher than a 14 tbh (and that is generous) Softball America and out of the box has us as a top 8 as of now.
