Tx court says Bible can be used in teaching Reading. First comes CAN, later it will be must. They plan to use taxpayer money to reward school districts that do this. When i had kids in the house I didn’t much care what they read as long as they did read. I wouldn’t have huge problems with this for my kids but i can see it introducing a can of worms. Will children of other faiths be able to opt out? What material would they use? What are teachers supposed to do? I dunno much about anything anymore. I learned to read from Dick and Jane books and they were at least written in commonly used English of the day. Will TX kids now be recognizable because they are using thee and thou?
Even as a small child I never believed hell was real. It just didn't seem like something that a god who "is love" would do to his creations.
