Shooting a 43 with a dand wedge and no putter isn't as hard as you think. Easy to hit every fairway and usually you hit pat 4's in 3 shots and par 5's in 4. If you're good you'll average less than 2 putts per hole. I birdied the 3rd hole which was 145 yards over a lake from tee to green. Stick it to 4 feet and sank it. It was a money match against 3 schmos who told me "money talks bull____ walks" after I told them I hit a 485 yard par 5 with a driver and an 80 yard wedge 3 hours earlier. They gave me 1.5 strokes/hole. Best any of them could shoot was 45. So I beat them all straight up. I let them off their $500 bets for a pitcher of beer. My record for least number of putts in 9 holes is 7 BTW. Chipped in, sank a bunker shot, made 7 one putts. Not as hard as you might think. I hadn't played in 6 years and missed several greens and chipped close. 13 putts on the back 9, 20 for the round. Haven't played since
