Would rather go literally anywhere else (if we beat them and end their season it would be worth it though)
Yep, we’ve got some tough work to do just to make the post season at this point. I like going to tally though if it happens and having a chance to spoil their season.
5/1 Baseball America Projection {10} Oklahoma State 2. Nebraska 3. FLORIDA 4. Niagara w/ {7} Kentucky 2. West Virginia 3. Virginia Tech 4. Wright State Nebraska is 5-9 in their last 14, and their toughest games over that stretch were RPI 39 Maryland at home (2-1). FLORIDA in last 4 in; LSU in first four out; University of Coral Gables not mentioned. They are 5-games under .500 and need to finish 8-3 just to get to .500 going into the ACC Tournament. They are also currently in the last slot for the ACC Tournament (tie-breaker over BC), but still some games to go. SEC: 4 top 8 seeds; 5 total hosts; 10 total participants Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
I would LOVE to be in the Stillwater regional. Oklahoma State always finds a way to choke in the postseason and for some reason the balls absolutely fly there for every team which would be good for our HR heavy offense. Nebraska was really solid for a while so they could still be a tough 2 seed matchup. Facing the winner of that Lexington regional would be a massive test for us no matter who ends up winning that. It's a much more stacked regional in my opinion.
The most minor of consolations for our poor seasons is getting the opportunity to watch the Gators play in some of these unique locations. Stillwater or Corvallis would be cool. I've also seen Clemson projected, which might be worth a road trip.
I have a BIL that lives in Portland that is a huge baseball fan. He is Cubs fan and as a former Southsider it isn't my cup of tea but he loves baseball. I turn a blind eye to that. I still like him. His wife died not long ago (my wife's sister) and wants us to visit. College baseball and wine touring in one vacation sounds awesome. That would be cool.
Auburn(the team) had to stay 2 hours away. And werent many/enough visting tickets I read, probabaly not as big of an issue for a regional.
My family lives near Clemson so I wouldn’t mind going there solely for that reason. I think it’d be a fun matchup too, albeit very difficult. It’s a nice campus, supposedly identical to Auburn’s which I’ve never been to. People call it “Auburn with a lake”.
Can’t make chicken salad out of chicken doo doo…Gators will be home quick if invited at all. When was the last time they were a .500 team?
